True Story of the Day

Post by Phil8659 »

Monkey Village.

Hobart and I on a week end off, took a Thai tour bus, now if you survive one of those, then you can actually arrive at where you were going.

We were just on a photo shoot.
Now, we arrived at this place called Monkey Village. Monkey Village was just a place where monkey's actually lived in the tree tops. And they actually do fornicate just like we do today.

So, I suggested that Monkeys fornicating in the tree tops was not really worth the film, so I suggested that we head out to open country. We had plenty of time as a lot of people like porn, even when it is only monkeys.

Well, I spied a Wat in the distance, and this red robed Monk approaching us. Hobart did not want anything to do with the guy, but I was curious to know what he wanted and to talk to him. Turns out, he was a monk over a Wat that was a crematorium and all he wanted was to practice his English, as he learnt it on his own. I complemented him that it was very good.

Our photo adventure turned out well for me. But over time, even photo's I won awards on, I tossed out. Too much baggage. But I had a good time that day. Monks are considered to be the intelligentsia of their villages. I really enjoyed a man devoted to learning something and eager to practice it to see if he got it right.
This Monk was a true philosopher.
Now the moral of the story is, how do you practice philosophy and are not simply interested in fornicating with monkeys?

How many times has this happened in the history of the world?

https://www.kaotic.com/video/137584_Wom ... _on_tracks

"PLATTEVILLE, Colo. (KMGH) – A freight train collided into a police cruiser parked on train tracks with a woman trapped inside.

Locked inside the cruiser was 20-year-old Yareni Rios-Gonzalez. Police detained her for an alleged road rage incident earlier in the night Sept. 16.

About one minute and nine seconds after Rios-Gonzalez was placed in the back, the train’s horn is heard for the first time in the distance on a newly released bodycam recording.

About seven seconds later, another louder horn but still no reaction from police.

Over the next eight seconds, even more horns are heard before the two officers realize Rios-Gonzalez is in danger. By then it was too late.

Paul Wilkinson, a personal injury attorney representing the woman, said she is awake and able to have a conversation but remains in the hospital.

“She has a broken arm that she has had surgery on, nine broken ribs, a fractured sternum, broken teeth, injuries to her leg, back and head,” Wilkinson said.

Many questions remain, including why the officer parked the cruiser on the tracks and why it took critical seconds to notice the approaching train.

“The most alarming thing for me is that you can hear the train coming,” Wilkinson said. “And it’s at nighttime, and the train has lights also, so you can both hear and see the train coming.”

Wilkinson says Rios-Gonzalez heard and saw the train coming well before officers did, but she could do nothing to save herself.

“She was trying to get their attention,” her attorney said. “She was yelling. She was trying to escape.”

we are most well known as The Harley Hunters in local lore. this is exclusive footage of our secret covenant.

those two red ones back in the cut are the bosses. ducati panigales. the first of the two has like 175 horse power at 10,000 rpms and 205 horses claimed. The Busas hadn't shown up yet, so this was the 600cc-1000cc gsxrs, cbr and ninja calvary, excepting the bosses and the two SVs. think there wuz a CBR F4i in there. the guy one before me is the neglected and ill-fortuned red SV650. mine is the black SV1000s with blue rim tape. I'll point to it.

Siriusly tho we're not The Harley Hunters. I've never even met these guys.

My Aunty that was over recently from England stated a burger I made for her was the best burger she had ever eaten!

(I've got a secret ingredient)

Lemme tell you something I'd sell the CBR before I sold the SV, even tho it has half the miles and is worth at least a grand more. And the CBR would beat the SV on the top end. But it just doesn't have the torque of the SV (a v-twin). Inlines will produce power but only at higher rpms and speeds... while that SV pulls like a mule in first gear, son.

I don't ever plan to sell that SV. I'll drive that sonofabitch to a hunerd thousand. You couldn't - or wouldn't - do that to a CBR.

Ya nice bikes. Forgot to get back to you - just watching the MotoGP - Philip Island - qualifying, big race tomorrow!
I bought the ZX10R with money from a redundancy payout - I was hooked on the idea since a couple of mates from work had bikes. A lot of fun (again up in the Adelaide Hills) but once everyone got jobs again, and winter hit I barely rode it - plus very uncomfortable getting cramp etc..(old fart) so I ended up selling it..
I find wearing all the protective gear takes away from the feeling of being on the bike...I'd prefer not to wear a helmet to be honest - not on a sports bike of course....but over here you have to wear a helmet...if I'm happy to risk having my brain being spread across the tarmac for someone to scrape up, well that should be my choice!

Will def get another bike eventually but not a sports bike. I went to Philip Island some years ago for the MotoGP - my boy Cal Crutchlow won it - lmao - because it was raining cats n dogs the entire weekend and pretty much everyone in front of him fell off!!!

a fifteen year isn't allowed to get a job, vote, have sex, drive, purchase a firearm, alcohol or tobacco, sign a lease, or get married... but the second he shoots somebody he's to be tried as an adult? If you have a court system full of idiots who don't realize their wonky society is producing such people or that there is no freewill, absolutely. That and it's a good career move for the prosecutor in exchange for the rest of the fifteen year old's life (in a cell) and the misery of the kid's parents.

(in reference to the raleigh shooting a couple days ago)
