The number one cause of death is birth.

Most of us don't consider death beautiful, that's why we need "phantasmagorical" bullshit to find the beauty when death is all around us. It's the "ostrich with it's head in the sand" mentality.

… shaped like miniature fins from the stealthy Styxosaurus, a mythical creature from which the grainy Nessy sprang whole, a sunless subaquatic creature lying still, listening, unseen like a snake to swallow what tattered shreds the world forgot to devour in its relentless march to the last border, finally familiar again, and yet still folks say put it in reverse gondolier, and because of his ironic job security Charon can still chuckle at the fear, just like the first time, seeing as how all humans can ever know is Life, the measure of all things including the kitchen sink.

Those with their head in the sand only see darkness, not the phantasmagorical. It's only logical, Cal.

''Death'' only makes sense when there is a 'personal someone' who knows they are dead.

Knowing or Knowledge is the conceptual dream of artificial separation. Knowledge can only point to the illusory nature of reality, in that it is undeniably and irrefutably unknowable. Reality is the unknowable appearing as knowing.

This illusion of the personal separate person, veils the reality that what is seemingly happening is not really ''two'', but is the impersonal appearing personal. This illusion that defines itself by experience veils the fact, that experience as the basis of everything is empty.

That knowing - for example I am - is not a cause but a reaction. A reaction is a secondary reality upon what already is one without a second. Knowledge seemingly veils the reality that there is no ''I'' or ''am''

'I am' simply implies a knower - but this is true only within the dream, and nothing ever happens in a dream.
The consequence of the assumption of an "I" is the personal story. This assumption or false claim is a reaction.

Reality is non-dual. Duality is an illusion, a dream.

Belief that I am a separate person is of the dream, it's merely a tool used to triangulate itself in the dream and assume a location.

When the charade is seen through, there is no location,no relativity, no I am.

You weren't dead before you were born; you became dead after you died. Amazingly these two conditions are equal to each other and the infinitesimal interim completely wiped out. Easy come easy go refers much more to life and death than to money matters.

Death is simply the upshot of dying; no mystery there. Do it once and you're home free. Consider it one's final home run ending up where you started from. Anybody can do it! 8)

Birth is Death. Death is Birth. They're not different, the only difference is in their appearance.

Birth is Knowing, Death is Not-Knowing. Together they merge as one reality - this ever present unknown, appearing as knowing. Two words, for the same one thing.

For one who is aware, life and death are not separate occurrences, they are simultaneously one and the same reality.

Now you see me, now you don't, infinitely for eternity.

So who is conscious?

"Consciousness'' a well-known synonym for many other things. (Knowledge)

''Unconscious'' the unknown source of all well-known synonyms for many other things. (Knowledge pointing to the illusory nature of reality)

''Consciousness" is the label that "what-ever-it-is" ? gives to itself and in so doing it creates another conceptualised object that it mistakes for a separate existential entity. ( A phantom self )

Yeah and white is black, chalk is cheese.

Birth is Knowing, Death is Not-Knowing.
So they ARE different?
you just contradicted yourself.

gubber, gibber, gibber.

Your core Being is non-Being. You are Death-Living. Death is there, and at the very core of your Being there is just Emptiness - what Buddha calls Anatta. There is no existent self, there is no inherent 'I'.

Nothingness is your very central Being. So you cannot escape from it, do whatsoever you want to do. Nobody has been able to escape from it. You can go on delaying that experience through distraction, but one day or another, that experience will catch up with you, you will have to go through it alone.

Everyone knows it. You know nothing, there is nothing to know. Who can know anything about nothing?
What is there to know about nothing? However this nothingness is not simply a vacuum, you are the Nothingness that embraces Everything, as it is. Resistance is futile.

You have to be a no one to be a someone.
