A question came up on Pointless tonight, which had some surprising answers.
Which countries are more healthy than the USA.
Obviously the US spends more on health care per capita, than any other so one might expect it to do a little better in the ranking than 38th!!!!!!

The biggest surprise of all that does better than the USA, despite suffering under the yoke of sanctions for over 50 years, it Cuba.

The US suffers from obesity and unequal access to healthcare. Prices of drugs are inflated too.

In Cuba, education and health care are free. Intelligent, talented, helpful people are everywhere in the world. If they are given the opportunity to develop their talent, they are useful to their fellow citizens. Cuba has doctors - well qualified and caring ones - even if it can't afford to import a lot of fancy medical equipment. The US has lots of fancy medical equipment, but 9 out of 10 people who would make good doctors never get a chance at medical school, and 9 out of 10 of those who do make it through are hampered in their career choices by crippling student debt, or else hampered in their work by budget constraints, either as regards facilities and staffing or as regards payment protocols.
Money screws up everything.
