I was given a double DVD retrospective on King Crimson for my birthday.
Fripp is a genius, and KC is utterly unique.
Total dedication to music and his art. It is quite remarkable.

Am’a gonna be posting Amapiano (Zulu or Xhosa for "the pianos") from now on, in-place of overly-explicit/x-rated rap.
Amapiano.. a sub-genre of house music that emerged in South Africa in the mid-2010s, a hybrid of deep house, jazz and lounge music characterized by synths and wide percussive basslines. Amapiano (Yanos)
Welcome to amapiano.. [tips hat]

sculptor knows the secret handshake. have u been to the KC barber shop?

Alright let's rock. go to 4:45 u ain't never heard no crazy shit like that before, sculp. fripp's scales are the ugliest things i have ever heard a guitar produce... but it isn't a grotesque and malformed ugliness cuz there is structure to those notes and scales, diminished as they are. quite the opposite of disorganized noise but certainly not pleasant by any stretch. but that's what KC did man... they invented metal. or rather fripp focused his style of playing on ways that later became fully developed metal. that very idiosyncratic and dark themed diminished minor mode he always fucks with is to metal what phonetics is to language.
deep purple and cream and all that wasn't dark rock u guys. black sabbath wasn't even dark compared to KC. but again dark isn't just banging and crunching power chords. it's a language on guitar and fripp wuz a master of it. starless and bible black? fracture? fallen angel? bro. u already know. Everytime I hear this stuff I feel like that dude in the painting who's standing on the bridge holding his face and the skies all swirling around em. What's it called. The existential anguish one.
(Lol at all the little percussion instruments bruford puts on that track during that part. Wood blocks and cow bells and those things whataretheycalled where u flip the top wooden spoon looking thing and it bounces on the lower one.)
