The following quotation is frequently attributed to Heidegger in several non-philosophy books and especially in 'popular' online sources:
‘If I take death into my life, acknowledge it, and face it squarely, I will free myself from the anxiety of death and the pettiness of life – and only then will I be free to become myself’
Some sources say it is from Being and Time, but I have been unable to get a clear citation for it.
Can anyone help?
