On a different website, two of my threads were removed by a mod for unspecified reasons (probably due to pacifying a member who took exception). An admin took note and asked me if I would like them restored which I had done (and drew a nice response).

Already have. Posted threads asking what philosophy is which no one can satisfactorily answer. But why focus on me? Many members are left guessing why the threads keep getting deleted without explanation. Also the Lounge isn't meant for philosophy according to its description, yet threads keep getting deleted from there as well.

Oh! Also I remove threads that to me have devolved into majpr off topic abuse or trolling, when I notice them that is. Is this unfair to those who haven't got involved? Probably but blame it on the original poster for not taking any responsibility for their thread and notifying the mods about posts they think are transgressions.

Still, since we're on the topic of moderation I might as well notify everyone that the 'powers that be' are going to be appointing some new moderators for some of the various categories and although I don't know them, or ever will, I suspect they will bring a different approach than the one this kind and benevolent tyrant has so far allowed. So you'll be getting reasons for why your posts have been deleted and why you've been banned, which I suspect quite a few of you will be.
