My answer -- a happy thought. Thoughts are mental food.
Based on that analogy, there's much junk food in the public domain at present. It seems like good informational food these days are only available at speciality outlets, certainly not the big "News Marts", their shelves laden with fear, anger and misery.

The better the food gets, the pickier and choosier we become. Yesteryear's sitcom that we laughed at then, is trite trivial trapsy now. Socrates is found to be full of holes. (Fallacies.) Kant can't.

It's called "declining return of marginal utility".

The only things that are always good, however, die out by themselves: sex, life, music.

The only thing that prevails is humour.

True!

Smokes challenge the system, too.

Volume also counts. My family doctor said a pack of smokes a day puts as much stress on the system as gaining 15 lbs (7 Kg) bodyweight.

Which, interestingly, is about how much weight people tend to gain after quitting.

But the love, confusion, gratitude, empathy, self-focus, wonder, horror, curiosity, weariness, imagination and fear remain.
