Petula Clark made this song popular. What does it suggest to you?

That some Americans on a forum like to have the $tar$ & $tripe$ on their sign off.

What song?

Your opinion. The title of the song matches the thread.

Slight correction. The title of the song sung by Petula is
A Sign of the Times. However she does sing it that way in the song.

Sure, but I'm using the phrase for a different purpose.

This is like one of those articles about a picture, where they don't bother to show the actual picture.

Well, here is the goddamn song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RaeKpFuLvIY

I'm not sure which is more funny... the choreography or the clothing.

So Lacey, what does it's a sign of the times mean to you?
To me, in the US, it means the US has gotten more conservative under Trump. Of course it's more complicated than this as I'm giving a summary.

It seems, under politics, the pendulum swings back and forth between liberal and conservative and will at some point swing back to liberal.

What does it mean to you?

Just seems like we're going through some huge shifts in attitudes and beliefs worldwide -- while simultaneously facing the fallout from generations of lop-sided control, thinking, and impact worldwide -- so pretty much everything going on right now (the whole "apparent" mad mess) is demonstrating what we've been, and the point we've gotten to, because of that.

I wish it could have been a more conscious and gentle path, but we seem intent on exploring all kinds of options and horrors. Could have to do with the immaturity of humankind's consciousness... like two-year-olds on the more expansive scale of conscious awareness. A thousand years from now, I think humankind's mistakes and primitive behavior up to this point will be better understood -- and more maturity will prevail.

Surely, more than one person, place or thing can be a sign. For example, war zones can be a sign of our times. Internet porn could be a sign of the times, as well as world leaders and nuclear arms, swastikas and walls, ex-pats afloat on the Mediterranean or The Bachelorette.

Here's another one. With the rising stock markets, I expect the miniskirts to come back.

When were miniskirts gone? but I think wearing miniskirts is more a matter of the age of the woman than it is related to the stock market.

I didn't mean it that way. Why would the age of the woman matter?
