“Out of my confusion, bewilderment, uncertainty, the feeling of being incapable of clarity - out of this I act. I choose a leader; I choose a certain course of action; and I commit myself to a particular activity, but that activity, that pattern of action, the pursuit of a particular mode of thought is the result of my confusion. If I'm not confused, if there is no confusion whatsoever, then there is no choice; I see things as they are. I act not on choice.”

You don't need it to be a permanent feeling. It's just part of a learning process. In fact, it's in fact just a parody on love. Many say "In order to truly love others, first you have learn to love your own self." Which is actually bullshit.

"Because it was not there." The nuclear physicists' excuse why the earliest electron acceleratosr failed to accelerate electrons beyond a certain speed at a certain point.

That part about first learning to love yourself does sound like cotton candy.

However the play on words, (love to hate) does reveal some principles that life has illustrated, as you may know. For instance, when hate is transcended, the energy of hatred is still there. What to do with it?

The physical energy that accompanies hatred and its cousin rage remains, but transcendence of hatred results in equanimity, which causes the nature of hatred to be existentially if not intellectually understood to be that of illusion.

The old cause and effect are thus disrupted by the inherent power of awareness.

The customary button is no longer wired to the old effect. In this way, for example, what smashes a tennis racquet becomes that which focuses energy and attention upon the philosophy, or higher purpose, that underlies any specific action such as playing tennis.

The philosophy is always there in and of every action, waiting to be discovered.

Verily it is written, when one loses the philosophy of the doing, one is open to doing stupid things.
