if you look at the scientific studies on people who participate a lot on social media, the vast majority of such people have psychological problems. Now, there are certainly people on facebook who only occasionally use the platform. But, when discussing those who participate regularly in their groups regarding either philosophy, atheism or politics? The majority of them are nuts. They are Holocaust-deniers, in fact many of the philosophy groups on facebook are headed by Holocaust-deniers. If facebook actually enforced its claims that it was not a community supporting hatred, then it would wipe out a large percentage of its customer base. This is why people have posted racist comments daily for years on facebook without any sanctions at all. Facebook is not going to destroy its economic base.
