Favourite movie scenes
Re: Favourite movie scenes
The Top Gun Sequel
Starring Tom Cruise, Producer
Lots of great actions scenes.
Super-hero plot and one-dimensional character types.
Definitely worth the rental for the action scenes.

Carrey as Ventura was the greatest thing to happen to comedy in the nineties. the non plus ultra of hyperbole and caricature. the absolute master.

Bob getting that sinking feeling - don't fuck with the IRA. I watched that film donkeys years ago and loved it, gonna have to watch it again. All the years I thought that last scene had music by Sky - not sure.

Has Tom Cruise ever made a movie where he did not depict a super duper character? I think not. I think that must part of his philosophy.promethean75 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 11, 2022 11:04 pm https://youtu.be/5IKdkHcR50E
What the fuck are you still doing driving a cab?
It was part of Sidney Poitier's philosophy. He said he would never portray a bad black man on film.

I'll never tire of watching this movie and I always end up watching it every few years one way or another. Just saw it again and it was fantastic.

Re: Favourite movie scenes
His portrayals were inspiring, and he was compensated accordingly, back when the world was just, or at least pretended to be.
