Ray Winstone.

(try and ignore the ridiculousness of requiring English subtitles here for an Englishman, speaking English - at least the dude posted the vid)

Actually, I think I did see that movie, but I forgot all about it. I saw it on recommendation, probably yours. I even forgot the beginning until your reminder. Don't worry, we can make that mean the movie is not forgettable.

When you think about it, These Amish in Lancaster County can exist as they do because of the guardian angel of the US Constitution, and the integrity to hear it, and let it guide governance.

This is why folks say that The Constitution was divinely inspired, therefore as a living document it is the source of divine inspiration that legally allows the Amish to be within the context of changing times, along with any other peaceful-intending person.

They are protected.

One of the grandchildren rode over on her bike the other day. Very bright child. After awhile I turned on the TV but instead of stories for children that centered in magic, such as Potter and Disney, I had a recollection and turned on this old movie. They don't make 'em like this any more.

She was quickly interested, and I could see her giving the movie her attention. I could see the wheels turning.

When this scene came on I thought, what a contrast from today's movies. No flash. No special effects. Simply an intelligent depiction of the Ways of Evil.

When the scene started I gave her a hint. I said, pay attention. This is a dialogue between Good and Evil.

The Greatest Story Ever Told
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KcImyfudQ4U

Commentary:

Jesus declines food from the old man and says he is fasting. Out of disrespect, Satan continues to eat, and he makes a big deal out of it, taking his time, smacking his lips. Watching it makes one want to eat a meat kabob grilled over an open barbie, sizzling with fat juices. If the scene was filmed for today's audiences, there would be some cursing. You know, to show the same disrespect as savoring greasy, fragrant meat in the company of one who has declined food because he is fasting.

Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels

The last scene, and not because it’s the last scene.

I've never seen such a thing. It looks real. Amazing, noise and everything. Does the virtual engine send disorienting shock waves through the body?

We watched this again last night.

- In this scene, the British commanding officer of the POWs has been in “the oven,” for about a week or more, being both starved and cooked, and he is suddenly dragged out in the dark and invited by his captor to a civilized dinner.

- The short scene is the turning point of the movie. It’s the moment when a man who lives by a code of propriety convinces his conscience to an get on board with his egocentric purpose. It’s the moment he changes his circumstances from slave to boss, so that his men can survive. Good intentions, but he was distracted by attachments.
