Run Lola Run is a story about a young woman who has her continuity stopped by events initiated by her life-and-death need.

Stopping the continuity places her in a new world … among other things.

however, and good movie is a good movie regardless of my dissinterest in "the western".

and you offered not just a good movie, but a great one - loved that Am. Indian (he (sorry i don't know his name (I should - he was a great actor), been dead a long time now sadly) actor "um, i love juicy fruit" (i.e he played "the chief") - lol, One Flew over the coocoo's nest - another great movie.

Here he is in a great scene fromLittle Big Man.

“That is the way things are!” … great delivery, good actor, I think he means it.

Advice to a fictional character.

Thoughts to words, words to voice, voice to objects, objects to people, thoughts to people, all are the same and bleed into each other, no matter their origin.

You’ve all seen the scene.

So Stanley, although your spontaneity may not disturb your own peace of mind, consider the situation from an objective perspective rather than just the perspective of what you want.

Consider cutting the root that causes you to forget mindfulness. Stanley, when you know how your mind works, then you will see how to sustain even fragile leaves with your food. Then, all the leaves will get a proper diet, even those turning scarlet until the end, and life will blossom for all at the table.

Stanley is Shiva the destroyer. Blanche is Vishnu, the preserver. Stella is Brahma, new life. Stanley and Blanche are naturally married into the same mind, and as symbolic parts of the whole, at dualistic odds.

If these common touchstones of understanding don’t relate to what you know, then what meaning do you see in the clip, that you can communicate with a common touchstone other than the clip?

Interesting post Walker, you show thoughtfulness, I like you (just to note out of irony of both your clip and my own personal ignorance of classic movies - you clip mentions Hughy Long "every man is a king" - or some such said by Standly -I know who the new Hughy is/you either do and are ok with- or do not see tRump as the same being (either way - the post i reply to shows personal character and insight that i value - if you agree, i'll not "blast your God tRump/ nor you my Liberalism (always hated the witch BTW - 25+ yrs now.............God I just wish fucking William Jennings Brain.....ere Billary would GO AWAY!!!!!!!!!!! - stop running (i.e. stop running becuase all you can do is LOOSE!!!!!!!!) Eugene Debs got more honest support from his fking JAIL CELL/minus Lobbyist special interest durty money Old Hill).

----------------

per my personal ignorance - i never got to actually watch A Streetcar named desire, nor On the Waterfront (this latter is better IMO) - nor did i know Elia Kazan (turncoat - just noting his actions in the 50's (i might have done the same/hope not, but will never know - not being in his shoes - he remained a great director) directed those two movies i've had 40 yrs to view and never did on VHS nor DVD nor "TV" - until I bought the "Elia Kazan" "collection" - all 20 or so movies for 45 bucks, last year - excellent deal, so bought the collection for peanuts and left the above movies for last viewing - which was just a month ago!!!!!! i watched all the other 20 or so the prior year. So I admit my ignorance of concerning that movie, and that i never viewed it until last month. (I really do not like Marlon Brando - think his is a poor actor and so why i left those for last for viewing (blasphemy i know).

I enjoyed your Hindu interpretation of Kazan's work - seemed apt to me ;-).

------Streetcar is an 8 or so, but not on par with Kazan's 9.5's - A Face in the Crowd and Babydoll.(why are these not offered on Bluray?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?)

for that matter why is not Ordinary People!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - we get a shit DVD transfer that looks like a bootleg from a VHS these last 20 fking years!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and for classics like "Blood Sport"

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0069804/

we don't get even the VHS!!!!!!!!! nor DVD nor anything - except a "off TV copy via channel 9 (australia/sydney TV) - that i copied from chuck (youtube) and then uploaded after chuck's channel was removed...............for a few months.....until the same fate for my channel occured.

oh and same for "Death be not Proud" - one of the best movies ever - offered on VHS a million yrs ago, never offered on DVD, nor Bluray.

fking lawyers - we all know the "master films" - in at least 1080 x 1920 - having been sitting in caves for decades!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

fking copyreich bullshit - in the meantime - we get lower than shit rez vids via over the air bootlegs of movies that BY NOW - most that ever know of them DIED - and the living have forgotten about!!!!!!!!!!!.

HEY LAWYER SUITS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

how many folks do you think will buy "blood Sport" (the one i'm talking about - not he other well known one - lol), or "death be not proud" by the time you get your copyreich's in order (2030)?

10- 20 folks? age 80 and older?

lol

cat (ET?) burning in Threads is still top scene.

ending in Fail Safe - the snap shot of zoo-seals/New York street scenes) - honorable second.

as stated months prior in this thread.

top movie scenes of all time include:

death scene of wrestler in Night and the City, dialog scenes found in Hunger (between Priest and Bobby Sands), and final days of sophie scholl (bet german interagator and Sophie over a coffee).

worth renting/viewing if you are able to do so.

Never saw ET. And it's got the best scene? Huh.

This isn't the best scene, the movie is pretty good.

Mickey Rourke plays a character based on Charles Bukowski, who wrote at least one touching poem.
Come to think of it, the poem in mind is about putting order to his world.

Come to think of it, that's the purpose of poetry.

ET was the usual speilburgien fluff.

don;t bother seeing it.

my reference was to the cat (that looked like ET) - burning (along with milk bottles melting)at ground zero in the movie Threads.
