Good grief. I thought you had better taste. She's obviously thinking about how good her makeup looks from a particular angle rather than actually connecting with the music. Quite depressing actually.Sculptor wrote: ↑Sun Dec 04, 2022 12:42 am Here is the earth shattering moment that Beethoven invented JAZZ

Beck is all new to me man. I've always known the obvious radio songs but I've never tried to listen to Beck. so now i went through all the albums, note padded all the good ones, and then deleted the note accidentally.
he's a good song writer and i prefer his retro Austin powers new wave house rap sound to the guitar stuff from the earliest albums. it's all so bland, but it means Beck knows how to write a song... which means he'll eventually have his moments. I found nine songs I'd listen to again.

like i literally heard 'Hell Yes' for the first time a few weeks ago.

Re: What music are you listening to?
the interesting thing about djent is that it wuz forced in a sense becuz metal had reached its limits in the nineties. in order to continue being creative, metal as a genre had to morph into djent. what wuz left to do that hadn't already been done? write strange melodies in odd time signatures in non-standard tunings like that drop D they always fuck with.
but really, as with most metal, the vocals are a little outrageous... only with djent, the music can afford to be instrumental and still be interesting becuz it's usually all mathematical and shit. check out that middle instrumental part @ 5:58 in Meshuggah's 'dancers to a discordant system' where they keep switching the times up in an incredibly difficult part to count (for me anyway). the shit is nutts.
