Issue 108

Post by spike »

We are about a month away from the next issue of PN. Does anybody want to guess what it may be about? I am thinking it might be about Russian philosophy. Or how about Eastern philosophy in general. And yet, it could be about reproductive philosophy and cloning.

I would like to to be about architecture and why we love skyscrapers. How about urban planning and the philosophy that goes into that - infrastructural philosophy.

A great issue might be about transportation and high speed trains. Airports are also a big deal.

Actually it'll be about art. Don't tell anyone!

We did do a Russian philosophy issue a few years ago. It was edited by our Russian contributing editor, Prof. Alexander Razin of Moscow State University.

You other ideas sound pretty good. I like the idea of a "philosophy and architecture" issue.

I would buy an issue about Eastern Philosophy. Skyscrapers are less philosophical than practical, Land is very expensive in the city, so it's cheaper to build up than out, and once it started it became a status thing.
