truth is/as reasonable justification

Post by Advocate »

In order to distinguish truth from reality we need to
understand reality as a consensus view and truth as an individual, bespoke, perspective-based view. Seeing truth as reasonable justification does the following: a) requires a reasoning process before an acceptance of information as knowledge b) indicates the importance of individual perspective on understanding information c) limits the requirement of verification to what is necessary in the moment.

Truth to the individual is experience and the individual's experience is always true to the biology that has the experience, while to the group truth is agreement. Experience at the moment is not doubted, it is the truth until there is some reason to doubt at which time the processes of the understanding are brought into gear. The limits of the requirement of verification at the moment would indicate simple perceptual experience is not enough for the confirmation of what is experienced as truth and is not misconception. In this case, if the processes of the understanding are inadequate given some failure of perception then perhaps the group biological experience need be then called upon.
