We all have a vision that we are ever looking at. You have a vision of the Undefiled Whole. Mine is so very different.
Yes, isn't that wonderful!
How boring would life be if everyone thought exactly the same way...

If we are going to do physics, we have to make crap up. Hopefully, it will be beautiful crap, simple and elegant. We have no choice because the universe has conspired to keep knowledge of other worlds from us. We know that there is something missing from our formulations, but we cannot find out what it is. Making up crap is all we have left. Lovely crap. We will make the universe a work of Art.
Crap is crap, no matter how lovely. And, that's okay. If joe believes tiny pink unicorns collapse out of quantum unicorn wavelets when measured, that's fine by me.

But it is crap. And when crap gets popularized, common folks get to thinkin' man, the world is all weird and unicorny and mebbe what seems to be real isn't and mebbe I don't really love my wife cuz mebbe my brain is just a stable for quantum horses with horns gallopin' through my atoms which themselves are nuthin' but unicorns...fuck, mebbe it's unicorns all the way dooooown...

Like I say: I wish egg heads would shut up and keep lookin'.

I think we must all face up to the hard fact that we may be at the end of physics and it's pointless to keep lookin'. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gWPFJgLAzu4&t=25s

Nah. Wait a bit. Our measurin' tools will catch up with our thinkin' gland and, WAM!, we'll be back in the saddle.

From the comments of your utube link...

how them scientists work.

Bob: Did the detector find anything new?

Steve: No.

Bob: Crank up the power and smash the particle twice as hard!

Persistence.

Ah, I have been dismissed so courteously.

You do have great faith in human rationality. Good luck with that Faith is a tricky affair

No, I have a well-justified faith in the individual.

HA!

You know my tribe?

Please, direct me to 'em.

In my 57 years I've never met a'one.

I would say that at least 95% of the people on Quora are of your tribe.

So Quora is full of atavists?

I'll have to check it out.

OMG, I made a mistake. For some reason I thought I was on Quora, but that can't be because I am currently banned from there because I say bad things about atheists and they report me to the principal. I argued that anti-theism is a cult. Anyway, yes, you might like Quora. What is an atavist? The people on Quora and this site are all moralists. I am not a moralist. I think violence, both physical and intellectual, is right at the heart of who and what we are and it cannot be erased.

Old school, very old school, old school from a quarter million years back.
