Re: Awakening
Do you think you'll ever get bored of responding to sayings that are being said over and over and over ?
Does life ever get bored of churning out these walking talking human beings saying the same things over and over again...do school teachers or college and university professors, medical practitioners, pop singers, children, lovers in each others arms, ever get bored saying the same things over and over again?
Would you get bored being at one with the beloved that is here right now?
Do you ever get bored Harbal ? ...and if you do, not saying you do, but if you do, what do you do to fill the void? ..do you seek out other to compliment you, who is that other? could/would you exist without other ...if you were the only person alive on the earth, would you be bored? ..or would you invent some other thing to fill the void and keep talking about that thing for fear of boredom ?
.
Don't you ever get bored of eating food everyday.
Food is not just something that you put in your mouth, it's food that comes out of your mouth as soul expression.
Man cannot live on bread alone.

Re: Awakening
An "awakened" one is simply someone who lives life in the natural state - his/her default state is living in/as direct experience and not in a mind made interpretation of it. It is a way of living without identification with a separate self - in this "state" all that exists "for the awakened" is awareness/consciousness experiencing itself (there is no identity or personality) and nothing is separate or at a distance from that.
The "sleeper" spends most of his/her life in the head - heavily identified with the thought story about a self that goes through life, that experiences ups and downs, that likes and dislikes, loves and fears...
There is nothing mystical or magical about the awakened state - it is the state we all have been born in - the only difference between awake and asleep is where attention rests as the default setting - on directly experienced reality or on thought story.

Re: Awakening
Well said Alex thanks.
What we are is pure emptiness (no thing) aware of itself as fullness (everything)
.
Emptiness aka imageless is just another word for AWARENESS. Every image seen is inseparable from that unseen imageless awareness...aware of itself.

Re: Awakening
Awareness is not an object.. there are no objects outside of Awareness. Objects are an illusory projection of Awareness only, they do not exist in and of themselves, as they have no reality.
.
When you say that to people they look at you as if you are mad...but it's the truth.
.
You are not your name or your body....you are Awareness.

And then what?

Re: Awakening
Yes, one has to add application if this one is ever to show up on it's own screen. It gets the app, (you)
... no app, no show, ...no belief in the app, no movie of I..aka you.
.
The face in the mirror is not you...the you is the face in the mirror.
To see your real face is to lose the face in the mirror.
And how many people are willing to do that?
.
Re: Awakening
Si, the application. Both one thought and no thought are non-dual. One is all, the other is none. One consumes, the other frees. One stumps, the other answers. One requires everything, the other requires nothing. One is Buddha before, the other is Buddha after.
