You can't even tell that you are arguing against yourself, can you?

The MORE of the brain you can remove, the MORE LIKELY that consciousness is monolithic.
The LESS of the brain you can remove, the MORE LIKELY that consciousness is modular.

The "I" could be 20 different systems.

I was hoping you'd take it as a compliment - does that help with your ego?

Most people with ego have hard time uttering "I don't exist".

They are too afraid of disappearing in a linguistic paradox.

It's the concept of 'self'.

You can probably use 'ego' and 'consciousness' to refer to the same thing.

You can call it whatever you want - it doesn't change what it is.

It's either a tractor or an ego.

Why can't it be a tractor with ego?

Because it would have to interface to biology at the minimum. And a tractor in a wrestling ring could be a problem.

Are you aware that tractors were originally biological? Ploughing (and all various farming utility) was done by animals.

The form of a ploughing instrument has become mechanical, but there's no reason why it can't ever be biological again.

If/when we master bio-engineering.

Cherry pickers are far more egotistical than tractors.

Unless we invent egotistical cherry-picking tractors.
