Have you read the book "why the world does not exist" by Markus Gabriel? What do you think about the book?

If the world doesn't exist, then you must not exist. But if you don't exist, that must mean the world exists.

Didn't read the book, but did read an interview with philosopher.

He defines 'world', best I can tell, in a peculiar way, as domains of perception or thinking, and since these domains are purely local there can't be an overarching 'world', or somesuch.

Me: I think he's over-thunk it.

So can we say that he denies a particular definition of the world?

Seems to me, instead, he's defining the world in a peculiar way (local, perceptual, mebbe piecemeal)...as I say, I've only read an interview with guy, not his book, so I may be off the mark.

One must lack basic intellect if one wants to waste time on such idiotic nonsense and babble..

As in so much of speculative thought, philosophy or denoted as such, is mostly engineered by a juxtaposition of semantics to devise 'new' positions.

...the recalibration of prior ideas to invoke different perspectives or new ideas if you like if such are even possible.
