I was told by a shrink that I was the most self-aware person he had ever met. So I'm going on an experts view. And what I'm not aware of yet, I usually discover in time. Now, I'm not going to give the full skinny on myself, but yeah, I'm horribly aware of who and what I am.

I am a complete loner so do know myself better than anyone else as there is simply no one else to know me

Can't help you there, what with many children, many more grandchildren, and by knowing others for many years through those extended families and witnessing the trials and tribulations of many people on a personal level, the relationships and dynamics, the troubles and the happiness.
How many paths, how many teachings of the Buddha? Something like 88,000.
Surely within that number there is a teaching of finding oneself in others.
