Would all politics be disbanded, if every reality were given a name?
Would all politics be disbanded, if every reality were given a name?
Re: Would all politics be disbanded, if every reality were given a name?
No.
Everything, real and unreal, already has a name; most of those things have a number of names in different languages.
Naming has so far had no discernible effect on politics.

Movies are made based on politics, in which the stories are made up of characters (names); movies are made to influence culture;
in terms of the first comment, about everything real and unreal already having a name, what about the name of Jason Thomas's (a random person) belief in the Mighty Ducks ice hockey team?

Movies are made about all kinds of things. The characters in the movies have names. Movies are made to entertain people. They are part of a culture.trokanmariel wrote: ↑Thu Mar 03, 2022 9:25 pm Movies are made based on politics, in which the stories are made up of characters (names); movies are made to influence culture

Would you agree, that Mahtab Raza, one of the Indian students in Ukraine, shouldn't have to worry about being part of Russia instead of Ukraine, because he has lived past daylight?
Re: Would all politics be disbanded, if every reality were given a name?
No. I think no decent person should have to worry about being where they are, for any reason --- but an awful lot of people do, for an awful lot of human reasons. We are not a particularly rational or life-affirming species.trokanmariel wrote: ↑Sat Mar 05, 2022 4:02 pm Would you agree, that Mahtab Raza, one of the Indian students in Ukraine, shouldn't have to worry about being part of Russia instead of Ukraine, because he has lived past daylight?

If CNN were to address the issue, of people having lived past daylight, could that make us more life-affirming?
Re: Would all politics be disbanded, if every reality were given a name?
I doubt it. We've been slaughtering, enslaving and exploiting one another for a very long time before CNN existed.trokanmariel wrote: ↑Sun Mar 06, 2022 2:46 pm If CNN were to address the issue, of people having lived past daylight, could that make us more life-affirming?

But CNN is a modernity proof system. A condescension with self-awareness. The combination of the two - condescension and modernity - could be a positive and practical way of looking at news media, as proof of evolution gaining morality.

All news networks can be the same context. Both perceptions of CNN, the fake news one and the evolution gaining morality one could be projected onto all living beings.

This reality must have a name.trokanmariel wrote: ↑Thu Mar 03, 2022 3:08 am Would all politics be disbanded, if every reality were given a name?
Imagine it at the negotiating table, opposite Putin.

I started to watch the video, and there was an immediate problem: Harris said delivery trucks - she was invoking economics, therefore the system of representative democracy
However: the reality of me seeing and criticising the video can have a name, which would work to effect of diminishing the critical lens of the reality
