Why is nazism popular today?

With all the knowledge of the attrocities they committed, why is nazism becoming increasingly popular in the Western world (Europe and U.S.)?

Is Nazim popular is is calling people Nazis popular?

I got called a Nazi to many times last week I actually adopted the term. It's fun watching people freak out when I admit to being a Nazi.

I think you'll find the print should be NATIONAL socialism. There's a fair gap between the forms of Socialism and national socialism is more akin to fascism than 'marxist' communism but they do share many traits.

No, I had it right: *national socialism.

"There's a fair gap between the forms of Socialism and national socialism is more akin to fascism than 'marxist' communism but they do share many traits."

I think differences between the various strains are obliterated by what they share in common.

Bingo. It's inflated by the internet.

It's a term commonly thrown around by Leftists.

They also throw around pejoritives like racist, homophobe, xenophobe, deplorable ... sometimes all in the same breath.

They probably don't even know what the words mean.

And to prove how stupid and hateful they are, such labels are even used in presidential campaigns to describe citizen voters whose votes they should be trying to win.

In the US, it's because generations have been dumbed down by Leftist conditioning in government schools.

Simple as that.

Not really democratic socialism(and I don't mean American 'Democrats') is a far cry from the soviet, maoist versions and any nationalistic party tends towards fascism in the end.

'democratic socialism is a far cry from the soviet"
