My political philosophy

Post by QuantumT » Thu May 03, 2018 9:30 pm

Politics is the city hall in the town of Human Folly.

In this town there are four major districts:

- Democracy
- Former/new communism
- Islam
- Feminism

Democracy is attempting to maintain its idealism, without succumbing to its own built-in self-destruction option.

The (former) communists are playing chess with the world, with the goal af total dominance.

Islam is playing victim, while spreading globaly and spreading death locally.

Feminism is just playing victim, and roaring the internet with #metoo.

May I suggest that there is no political philosophy, and if there were it would simply be a philosophy, like: Women; You can't live with them, and you can't live without them.. Qualified anything is not the thing.. You know what apples are, and you know what horse shit is, and you know that road apples are not apples.. Another example is rights, and qualified rights, like property rights, or religious rights are not rights at all, but privileges spelled out in the constitution.. Yet, where qualified rights are considered as rights they make unqualified rights meaningless because they are in fact, limits on the rights of those who do not enjoy the benefit of the privilege..

I think you would have to class Communism with Idealism, and what we think of as democratic is very little democracy mixed with a whole lot of pro capitalist Idealist: Free Enterprise equals freedom nonsense.. Families are very socialistic, and democratic, and democracy as a defensive form of social organization that grew out of familial and Gentile society.. Democracy is political socialism, and socialism is economic democracy... Where wealth is unequal it is because people do not have the democratic means to return privatized commonwealth to the commonwealth.. Democracy is more of honor societies and honor economies than apart of money societies, and money economies..

I would like to help you out.. I have a way of understanding everything that is going on in societies, and history, and even pre-history.. This is a formal philosophy which is very handy and simple.. It explains all human behavior.. And some understanding of it shows up in philosophy generally, but in our case, and very importantly, our founding fathers understood it.. Jefferson in the Declaration talked of forms, and there is no better way to express it, and he did quite well at expressing the constant situation.. Human beings do not evolve, but adapt by changing their forms.. Jefferson noted the conservative nature of humanity, that we do not change our forms for light and transient causes.. In fact, in regard to all social forms, -they are created for conservative purposes, to preserve a certain good over an extended people.. Since our revolution was perhaps the first conscious revolution in the sense of being conscious of what was going on, in social change, and over time.. People do not have to be formally conscious in order to change their social forms; or other forms such as forms of dress, shelter, economy or religion; but Aristotle for one was aware that achieving the form of good was the object of the social form of governments.. The moral forms behind the creation of our government are clearly stated but never achieved.. So; in closing, let me say: The way we see our world is formally, that is: Through concepts and ideas, and notions.. We do not see the moon, but our idea of the moon, as a physical form.. But all forms are forms of relationship.. We can relate to all of humanity through common moral forms, like truth, Justice, and liberty.. We relate to specific others through social forms which unite some as one against all others.. Marriage is a social form built around the moral form of- love that is exclusive to those who are married that attempts to conserve that love relationship.. It is only with a great deal of anxiety that people can face change.. Our forms give us formality, rules, and all relationships can be judged as more formal or less formal, and all forms can be judged as more formal, and less dynamic, or more dynamic and less formal.. We may think of ourselves as informal but games without rules are stressful.. If all forms are forms of relationship, then these are also poles.. If your relationships is more formal it is less of relationship, and if your form is more relationship, it is less formal.. I hope that makes sense to you because the changing of forms is the whole story of human progress..

"Free Enterprise equals freedom nonsense"

Post by henry quirk » Mon Jan 28, 2019 11:29 pm

You're right, of course.

Heaven forbid individuals should transact freely with other individuals: such folks might seek 'unapproved' products and services.

More generally: heaven forbid individuals act as though self-owned and -directed. Such folks go against the grain; are an adulteration of the body politic.

A well-domesticated population, an easily directed and compliant citizenry, one overseen by a benevolent politburo, is the goal.

Dangerous notions like Free Enterprise must be eliminated.
