Consider this thought experiment:
Your adolescent child has been dating for a few years and has now found “the one”. Your offspring brings this future life mate home to meet you. While shaking hands a large screw falls to the floor, emanating from the suitor’s sleeve. During dinner you notice that the suitor doesn’t drink anything.
Would you be suspicious that you’re in the presence of an AI? On what grounds might you object to a relationship between the two of them? Or would you feel secure with the notion that no AI could ever pass as a human? Could your offspring find happiness with an AI?
What do you think?
Would you let an AI date your son or daughter?

So long as my daughter gets more of a good screw than a loose screw, who can complain. And if IT starts being a twat, you reprogram it, sorted.
Grandkids might be a bit difficult though.
