Can quantum mechanics explain consciousness?

How does science work? And what's all this about quantum mechanics?

Can quantum mechanics explain consciousness?

Can quantum mechanics explain consciousness?
Quantum mechanics + consciousness: There is nothing better than mixing
two great mysteries to produce an even bigger one.
KEY TAKEAWAYS
Despite the tremendous success of quantum physics, its interpretation
remains uncertain. The brain, which is made up of neurons, which themselves
are made up of molecules, is likely influenced by quantum effects.
Can quantum mechanics and neuroscience be merged into a theory of "quantum consciousness"?

Dyson's eternal intelligence
Dyson's eternal intelligence concept (the Dyson Scenario), proposed by Freeman Dyson in 1979,
proposes a means by which an immortal society of intelligent beings in an open universe
may escape the prospect of the heat death of the universe by extending subjective time
to infinity even though expending only a finite amount of energy.

the relationship between consciousness and quantum mechanics must be substantial. Consciousness strictly "runs" in the presence that is the explicit domain of quantum mechanics. The indeterminacy and distribution of consciousness is a direct consequence of quantum mechanisms. In addition, "tunneling" mechanisms are likely to allow consciousness to penetrate through the time barrier into nearest (non-causal) future and somehow operate there…

There is no dark matter. Instead, information has mass, physicist says
Is information the fifth form of matter?
HARD SCIENCE — JANUARY 21, 2020
---
To be clear, the idea that information is an essential building block of the universe isn’t new.
. . . every particle in the universe emanates from the information locked inside it.
Vopson takes this notion one step further. He says that not only is information
the essential unit of the universe but also that it is energy and has mass.
In Vopson’s theory, information, once created has “finite and quantifiable mass.”
“Relativity and quantum mechanics are possible future directions of the
mass-energy-information equivalence principle,” he says.
“I am the first to propose the mechanism and the physics by which information
acquires mass,” he said, “as well as to formulate this powerful principle
and to propose a possible experiment to test it.”

Maybe. Once we get to the point where consciousness can explain quantum mechanics.

As I have suggested many times before,...

...what quantum mechanics reveals is that the fundamental substance that composes the phenomenal features of the universe seems to resemble the fundamental substance that composes our thoughts and dreams. And that's because it (the informationally-based substance that quantum mechanics deals with) is pretty much capable of becoming anything "imaginable."

And in conjunction with that, what quantum mechanics also reveals (or, at least, hints at) is that consciousness may be involved in the process that transforms the fundamental substance of reality from its waving (superpositioned) state and into the state that we see as positionally-fixed, three-dimensional phenomena suspended in a spatial dimension.

The point is that, no, quantum mechanics cannot "explain" consciousness, but it certainly seems to imply that it requires the conjoined relationship between consciousness and quantum phenomena (working together in tandem) before what we call "reality" can take form.
