Effect of human activity on climate change is insignificant

How does science work? And what's all this about quantum mechanics?

They think “journalists” actually do journalism, and “climate scientists” actually do climate science. This is why the divide exists, is so wide & deep, and is getting worse. You can explain to them until you’re blue in the face, your own personal story of how you came to suspect “climate change” might have more to do with politics than science (or how "journalism" might have more to do with politics than reporting). And you won’t get through, not because they’re disagreeing with you, but because they cannot understand how something might possibly be different from what it represents itself to be.

...he's right on the money.

Debate on this subject, and many others, is pointless. And: when it all comes to a head, nobody is gonna be talkin' anyway.
Global warming morons with unconstitutional regulatory authority do affect everyone's pocketbook.
You ok with "free market" - so when Byscane Bay billionaires call for a bailout (and a pail to bailout the water from their seashore homes) - gonna give it to them? or tell them to pound sand.

most of Miami will be lost to the sea, as well as most of Houston seaside metro (Bayshore/Baytown/etc), New Orleans, etc.........

by 2150 it will be a done deal

Sez who?

#

"the vested interests at the trough are too deep"

They're the opposition: let's git 'em.

#

"those interests have protected themselves well since Lincoln took office and raised hell with the office workers."

They gotta eat, same as anyone...hard to do that when the food producers, haulers, sellers are pointin' guns at you.

#

"what real cost to huge swaths of the population"

Same as always: death, misery.

#

"would any kind of survival be possible for the victors?"

Depends on which sides wins, yeah?
dream on....American standard of living has been falling since 72, and too many are ignorant and apathic (too fixated on their iphones).

there will be no revolution. just a continued slide to 2d world living - aka the next Mexico.

it happened to other empires, this time its our turn and their ain't shit we can do about it and most of us are too ignorant/defeated in spirit to lift a finger in protest.............oh wait i gotta check out my new phone app.

Climate changed before man.
Climate changes during man.
Climate will change after man.

This is not because of mankind’s activities on the earf, so keep your hands out of my pocket.

Climate change is insignificant or significant based on one's political viewpoint, despite the scientific analyses which demonstrates its significance. Take a look around....icebergs melting, etc.

This much I agree with , Walker. I like your god's eye perspective. Compared with the enormous duration of this universe the effects of man's activities are tiny. It will all matter not a bit in the long run.You are maybe not a practical man ,but your philosophy is good.

But your philosophy is no good it's dangerously insufficient and simplistic . You may indeed have a gods' eye view of the duration of our universe. But you are not a god but a man who stands to suffer with the rest of us. People who are so impractical they cannot understand climate change scare me. Such people would not matter if they were small men with small powers. But such men as you seem to be are now powerful politicians.

Uh huh. So your claim that the "Effect of human activity on climate change is insignificant" is not scientific.
