Great overview, just one minor comment. Massimo mentions lower and higher evolutionary units than the individual, but I would suggest that the higher and lower are in fact one and the same.
A gene's selection will operate different to individual selection for a number of reasons, e.g.:
A.) 0% homosexual line, IQ 100
B.) 10% homosexual line, IQ 140
(B) may be a lower order maladaptation, yet a higher order adaptation. Even the maladapted homosexual individual can contribute to the continuation of the gene by lending his abilities to his kin and assisting in their survival & reproduction.
