Meister Eckhart: "I pray to God that he will deliver me from God"

Is there a God? If so, what is She like?

Meister Eckhart: "I pray to God that he will deliver me from God"

Post by bobmax »

"I pray to God that he will deliver me from God" invokes Meister Eckhart.

In my opinion, this is the key to true spirituality.
Which consists in strenuously resisting the temptation to attribute anything to God.

In fact, giving in to this temptation means falling into superstition.

The sacred scriptures should then be read considering that where God appears that is in reality man, the conscience of man.

Adam and Eve realize life and death, good and evil. And this acquired awareness takes them out of the earthly paradise of ignorance.

The effect is with Cain who is the first man to realize the evil committed.

And therefore he condemns himself.
Who knows how many before him they killed without remorse.
Cain represents an epochal passage in the evolution of man. He is the hero who takes charge of the evil committed.

We have Moses, "I am who I am!" resonates in his mind.
The homecoming is beginning.
And so on...

Without God.

Because there is no God.
That is, to live without God.

But in the name of... God!
