PLEASE DEFINE "SIN"

Is there a God? If so, what is She like?

To me, 'sin' is to just miss the mark.

Sin is a transgression against what one considers sacred - whether that's a deity, nature, a human collective, an oath or pledge, blood kin or one's own integrity.
Occasions for sin may be enshrined in a social, religious or legal code, in which case it will be judge by others. Or it may remain personal between the individual and his/her conscience.
When committing a transgression, an adult generally know whether the act he's committing is a sin, a crime, a misdemeanour, an infraction or a mischief. He generally knows what penance he deserves, according to the mores and standards of his tribe.

Or:
any act which damages 'the soul' if one believes in the existence of souls;
if not:
a deliberate act in contravention of one's most cherished convictions

To define a concept would require a knower.

So lets see how we can apply meaning to the word sin.

The word sin is known conceptually as a thought within a mind that Evil had now entered the world which can also be known as the Fall which can also be known as the Separation from pure original ignorance that is the Not-knowing natural stateless state of pure beingness.
Although the apparent separation is just an illusion, because right now, there is only here Not-knowing. Knower is One, not two. You're IT, your the dang One.

But of course if you ever forget what you already know, you can always consult the big book itself by identifying with the information written in the book as being the same as the one who is reading it...the old copy of you is available anytime you fall into the original ignorant state to emerge as once again being informed of what you already knew, since it was you who wrote the dang story book in the first place  .

why? sin has been well defined and understood for thousands of years by those who mainly have a concern for avoiding it. are you looking to redefine it?

So either define it yourself, or provide a definition that YOU agree to from one of those humans over these thousands of years, please.

How does this sit with you regarding of whom is the sinner.

A man that God has tested literally put this man through what can only be conceived as hell, via TESTS. To the point that this man (a Christian btw) has SUFFERED more than Christ.

This man, is a good man, and decides to kill a paedophile ""man"" - he kills.

Which is the greatest sinner? God, or the man that killed the paedophile that would have continued to ruin the lives of many others?
