How can a Christian support Trump?

Post by raw_thought »

First of all I think the end of times prophecies are silly. But lets temporarily accept them. 1. Supposedly the antichrist will rule the world. If this is true doesn't it make sense that he will be the leader of the most powerful country in the world? How can the leader of lets say Uruguay have any influence on world events? I will dismiss http://www.thehypertexts.com/Donald%20T ... 0Beast.htm . However, how can you dismiss such facts if you believe in the end of times?
Trump is a pedophile

that thinks women are whores!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FSC8Q-k ... RoIOEiH-Xg
and is Putin's bitch!
https://www.newsweek.com/white-house-kn ... in-1514259
What does Putin have on Trump?
https://www.rawstory.com/2019/10/vladim ... kompromat/
I do not believe that Trump is the antichrist. My point is, if I believed in biblical prophecy would it not be logical to say that Trump is the antichrist?

Keep in mind that the Bible also proclaims this:
the Bible wrote: “...as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.”
Clearly, Christendom (especially American Christendom) is filled with “many” antichrists. Not the least of which would be the so-called “Christians” who support Trump.

I doubt he's this important, although he'd love to think he is.

As for the question of how a Christian can support Trump, I've been asking myself this question for a long time and have no answer. I suppose we must just concede that truth is stranger than fiction. It baffles me a supposedly Christian country could elect such a man.

such mantra by you and reichwing radio is so silly. Communism died in 1991 with the final blow to it as a failed political idoelogy - the independence of the Baltic States.

29 yrs later - with communism as dead - stake in the heart of for nearly 30 yrs, to think it is some type of Vampire, and now somehow "communisim is real" - make you a fool and listening to to much reichwing radio.

"its dead Jim"

wake up, and smell the coffee - 30 yrs too late is better than never bubba.

I wish that were true. It should be true, if people had any knowledge of history or understanding of ideology, or even a decent sense of humility. Communism has proved the worst human rights disaster in all of history...greater by orders of magnitude than any other cause. If there's one thing we should do, it's to abandon Socialism and Communism to the ash heap forever.

But we still have it around. Not only is it regnant in Cuba, Venezuela, North Korea or China, but it's even rearing its ugly head in Europe and the US. Neo-Marxism is still very much alive in public schools and at universities, for example. Politicians in the US and England still campaigning on it. The press is still pushing for it, and it has militias like Antifa raging for it in the streets too. And it seems that no degree of failure or disaster that it has occasioned is sufficient to deprive people of their blind optimism about it. Ignorant of even modern history, petulant in their desire to be given free things, and oblivious to the disaster they're brining, the new generation wants it back now. That just promises many more dead bodies.

Yes, any reasonable credibility Communism ever had ought to be gone. But alas, it is not dead yet. Some people keep raising its corpse.

But as for why people speak of Trump as a Christian leader, I can't imagine, except that the Dems have gone so far Left that in a two-party system, they've made him the only alternative to them. So I think a lot of his real support is actually less pro-Trump than it is strongly anti-Left. And as you say, anything is really better than a step in the direction of either kind of Socialism: national or international.

How can a Christian support Trump?

they can support him cuz he ain't the one warrin' against their religion, or their exercise of their religion

they can overlook his supposed sins cuz he leaves 'em be (and even supports 'em, from time to time)

Yeah, fair enough.

It's not for Christians to list his personal "sins." He has a Judge to whom he must answer -- as we all do -- and that Judge is not us. As for his public policies, they are fair game for critique, if one is inclined: they're at least in the public forum.

As for the free exercise of religion (and a fair number of other freedoms, such as speech, security of the person, private property, free enterprise, and so on) he's the only 'show in town.' The Dems have made it clear they care for none of that. Maybe he's the last port in a bad storm.

Of course, that doesn't make him "Christian" in any sense. It just makes him the only available choice in a two-party system.

note your sliping in of Socialism with Communism, not kewl by you (you think i would not notice?)

I find the Norweign/Dane/Finn/Swedish/Norweign societies - Socialist ones - fine by me, and i think my America would be better society if she went toward their example.

sadly fully agree, been a fan of Jordan Peterson since i discovered him about 6 yr ago, and ya "eduscation" - secondary and university level since the 1980's has been pathetic, and ya most proffs in the social sciences are "lefties" - and not smart ones either - fully braindead mantra repeating robots, and sadly most persons around 20 do not have the self image to assume their proff is full of shit when they are in a class and being indocrinated.

its a problem - a big one! too.

yes, but what of the your claimed nonexistant Reichwing miltia (you know the ones that will start killing folks when thier "great white hope - dear leader" actually loses the general election in America?

you know like the 6 arrested today, those you deny exist.

re-word maybe so i can?

yes for sure, but the riechwing is full of historical ignoramouses as much as the left,

so both the Reich and the Commie kids will burn the house down via their tranfurance of blame to "some others".

so what else is new - if you know of History, you'd know that Germany was actually f-i-n-a-l-l-y - getting on track to prosperity by 32, but it was too late for the pleabs, who decided to elect Hitler as vise chancelor - the rest is history.
Immanuel Can wrote: Sun Oct 04, 2020 2:11 pm Yes, any reasonable credibility Communism ever had ought to be gone. But alas, it is not dead yet. Some people keep raising its corpse.
really - REALLY? who? not since 1991 IMO.

Immanuel Can wrote: Sun Oct 04, 2020 2:11 pm But as for why people speak of Trump as a Christian leader, I can't imagine,

Nor i, fuck dude you are not even an American! and I live in the belt buckle of Evangalical Ameicanism!!!!!!!!! - if i don't get it, you sure as shit do not.

IMO.

Immanuel Can wrote: Sun Oct 04, 2020 2:11 pm except that the Dems have gone so far Left that in a two-party system, they've made him the only alternative to them.

THAT IS NOT TRUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Dems has stayed the same!!!!!!!!! - in fact have moved to the RIGHT since the 1970's!!!!!!!!!!!! - a little.

it the Repuglicon's that have MOVED TO THE REICH since Gingrich 20 yrs ago!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so ya per the Reichwing lens - speaking as a Republican, anyone left of Gangis Kan is a Commie.

--------------so your view is wrong, and not objective - it lacks historical opjectivity.

i.e. today Reagan would be a commie via today's Reichbuglicon party.

Immanuel Can wrote: Sun Oct 04, 2020 2:11 pm So I think a lot of his real support is actually less pro-Trump than it is strongly anti-Left.
who knows why these American traitors love fasicsm more than my Constitution, all i know is they are dumber than Heathclifl ("George i forgot to breath") - and deserve my scorn for being literally an enemy to my State - a Constitutional Democratic Republic.

so fuck those dumb shits, may they either start ww3-revolution and destroy what is left of my Kleptocracsy, nor just go away after tRump.

Immanuel Can wrote: Sun Oct 04, 2020 2:11 pm And as you say, anything is really better than a step in the direction of either kind of Socialism: national or international.
No i did not say anything is better than Socialism, i said anything is better than Communism.

MY America - which has 1/2 the middle class and twice the underclass of America of the 70's is a Plutocracy,Olicarchy, Kletocrasy...............so now lower than a Socialist nation, though maybe higher (give her time - once the whole system collapses into a Chile of the late 70's (or Argintina) - a simple facist thuggocracy, then my America fully steeped in Fasicm will be the same as any Communist nation - neither affirming liberty nor the rule of law.

thanks for playing.

advise if i may:

remove your partisan blinders, learn more about history.

thanks for reply.

Explain to me what USSR stood for. Then explain to me what the acronym NAZI means. Then tell me that Socialism isn't related to any of either.
I find the Norweign/Dane/Finn/Swedish/Norweign societies - Socialist ones
They're not. They have some social welfare distribution, but they all run on capitalist economies to generate the funds. Did I note send you all the sites on this, like the Danish PM himself declaring, "Denmark is not Socialist"? I can find them again, if you need them.
i think my America would be better society if she went toward their example.
Socialism has not only turned out to be the most economically suicidal creed in history, but also the most homicidal as well. I can't imagine much worse than going Socialist.
Immanuel Can wrote: Sun Oct 04, 2020 2:11 pm Neo-Marxism is still very much alive in public schools and at universities, for example.
sadly fully agree,
Good. Why would we want more Socialism, then? And if you like JP, you should hear what he has to say about it. He's no fan, I can promise you that; and it's not because he doesn't know...it's his area of specialization. That's why he's the introduction-writer for the new edition of The Gulag Archipelago.
its a problem - a big one! too.
Absolutely.
what of the your claimed nonexistant Reichwing miltia
Where are they? I can't find them. If I do, I'll stop them.

It means that it's impossible to point to any place on the globe that has ever been made happier, better off and healthier by actual Socialism.

The media, the universities, the radicals of the Dems...

I would say it is. The Kamala-Omar-Bernie-AOC wing is waaaay out there.

They don't. Fascism is Left Wing. Always has been. Mussolini was a Communist first, then went to Socialism. Hitler was a "National Socialist." That's what NAZI means. And the blackshirts (like Hitler's brownshirts) are in the streets breaking windows and harassing dissenters, just like in the Weimar Republic. They call themselves Antifa, but they're as "Fa" as Hitler's crew.
