The question is mostly a philosophical one: Would you accept someone who LOOKS poor, dirty and ignorant, to change your beliefs? How much do we rely on appearances to challenge what "most people" say?GreatandWiseTrixie wrote:The problem with you religious dweebs is that you believe some things are more powerful than they actually are. Would a supreme being place themselves in a body with all the cheat-codes, invunerable to their toys? Some beings also tend to boast at times, to make themselves look better. This particular creation is not really something I would enjoy taking credit for...Perhaps she didn't know what she was doing...Perhaps she is sorry...Perhaps there are others greater than her, elsewhere...
Jesus came to Earth again! What?! Would we recognize Him?

The Bible tells us of the ascension of Jesus but it doesn't tell us of his existence after. Did he come back and is he with us now, walking among us?

According to the holy texts Christ is always with us, like God. In essence, the holy spirit is everywhere.thedoc wrote:The Bible tells us of the ascension of Jesus but it doesn't tell us of his existence after. Did he come back and is he with us now, walking among us?

He said, "Hold my place, I'll be right back."
Suckers.

A lot of things that worked then will not work now. If not true, we would have had no shortage of replacements.

I dunno, do you recognize me?

People tend to mistrust everything now. Skepticism is the foundation of modern thought, but only when Christian ideas are involved. Skepticism about science simply does not exist.Dubious wrote:A lot of things that worked then will not work now. If not true, we would have had no shortage of replacements.

Science is all about skepticism. Since science contains skepticism, it cannot be contained by skepticism, so you're technically correct, even though you're dead wrong, as well as disingenuous.skakos wrote: Skepticism about science simply does not exist.
Would Jesus have to audition on Palestine Has Talent before He's considered for Messianic sacrifice? As I'm really not interested in crucifying anyone, I wouldn't participate this time, any more than i did last time.

Christianity does not have any ideas. It has some dogma, and some rules, but I don't see much of an idea factory there.skakos wrote:People tend to mistrust everything now. Skepticism is the ground of all knowledge; Reason is the spade and the fork. Christianity just wants to concrete over the whole bloody garden.
