All Thought as Contradictive

Is the mind the same as the body? What is consciousness? Can machines have it?

All Thought as Contradictive

Post by Eodnhoj7 »

All thought is a contradiction given the distinction necessary between one thought and another, as required for defining a thought, manifests a dualism of opposition. A bird is only seen because of the tree, and vice versa, yet neither the bird or the tree are the other.

This must give you problems when ordering breakfast, like bacon and eggs, since neither is the other they contradict each other. So which does the waitress bring you?

You have no idea how entertaining your Dostoevskian ramblings are.

Since neither is the other there is room for both.

The contradiction presents itself as it is, it is the manifestation of being through distinction. That which is observed occurs through distinction, thus contradiction. Observation is grounded in contradiction.
