~ Me - Having a Discussion With My Ego ~

Is the mind the same as the body? What is consciousness? Can machines have it?

Ego, super ego, does that constitute two?

Yes. Thank you. Ego, super ego would be perfect fits in this thread that I started.

I apologize for not being clearer but I actually reach to be as non-descriptive as I can when infusing GIFs or images.

I think it is important that we relate to these impressions as freely as initially possible.

Thank you for responding
, in your own ways, to this thread.

It does but it deals with the Id I thought not the Ego? Of course you could just call it your conscience which makes it a part of the Ego I'd say. But then again I'n not a Freudian so think them fairly problematic constructs in the first place.

The post also appears to be confused about the role of the Ego. Bill appears to think its the Id? Else why would he be shouting at it given its the sane part. Or maybe thats the point? He wants to be all Id and in that I think he succeeds.

Yes, again YOUR interpretation of this GIF is correct for YOU. That is one of the beautiful aspects of ingraining the power of images into this forum!

Hope you enjoy!

The concept of Ego & Super Ego fit well.

YOU could add Id to your equation. That's fine!

I appreciate your input.

For me actually I was thinking of left brain/right brain when I created the thread.

It's whatever fits for you. I enjoy the different interpretations.

 Then why did you put Ego in the title?

Another example of you not thinking as usual and then thinking that you've thought when others talk.

For most people their ego is considered to reside in their left hemisphere.

Thank you for adding to this thread.

Do they? It just goes to show that most people are philosophically ignorant then. But then you'd have to say what most people think an ego is?

Just relax. I'll get you through this...

YOU can interpret the original GIF I used any way you want. Matter of fact - that is the way I prefer it!

So, tell us how YOU interpret the GIF...Remember, there is no right or wrong way to interpret.

Remember - we are all friends here. We are all philosophers.

OK. Go ahead:

Do you have word-blindness? I already have and it had little to do with your image and much to do with what you say it represented, i.e. you having a discussion with your ego.

Once again I point out to you that you appear to have too fragile a psyche to engage in philosophical discussion as I'm not upset as you put it. I just stated an opinion of your words and asked you a question about them that you once again avoid.

I do appreciate you looking up to me.

I do appreciate you looking to me for philosophical related answers.

Normally, I take that responsibility very seriously.

I dropped the ball temporarily.

Sorry about that.

Hope this cleared everything up for you.

Thank you for your continued inquisitiveness.

Are you serious? By your own admission you are a depressive, have a limited span of concentration, are anti-intellectual, anti-reading, think attention can be 'split' and be effective, think you can talk to your 'ego', pretty much don't understand the philosophical meaning of most of the terms you use, etc, etc. What is there to look up to?
Normally, I take that responsibility very seriously.
You are delusional.
I dropped the ball temporarily.

Sorry about that.
Save your empty platitudes for yourself.
Hope this cleared everything up for you.
As mud.

Where in your piccy does it show the 'ego'?

What do you mean by 'ego'?

Your piccy shows language in one hemisphere and imagination and creativity in the other, how do you reconcile that language can be used imaginatively and creatively?

What are 'holistic thought', 'Art awareness', 'Music awareness', 'Intuition', when they are at home?

Why do a fair percentage of left-handed people speech-process in the same hemisphere as right-handed people? What does this mean for your classification?
Thank you for your continued inquisitiveness.
No, thank you for allowing me to raise questions about this misguided attempt at a philosophy of mind.
