How much truth is in a "true story"?

Is the mind the same as the body? What is consciousness? Can machines have it?

How much truth is in a "true story"?

Post by FrankGSterleJr » Sun Dec 23, 2012 10:27 pm

The preamble (though occasionally post-production) “The following presentation is based on (a) the true story” has been around for quite a while, though it seems that the more it’s used on TV and the big screen theatre, the lesser it firmly represents the attached product—i.e. the more, notably vague it has become. Thus, the following verbal mockery is of the progressively virtually meaningless: “The following presentation is based on (a) the true story” …

‘Based on a/the True Story’

“There’s a great, new movie on TV tonight, at eight, about Adolf Hitler’s war in Europe in the mid-20th century,” Dean told his younger sister, Donna. He was excited about the made-for-TV movie, especially since it was about World War II, indeed his favourite war when it came to military-manoeuvre movies. “And it’s actually based on a true story, too!” he enthused. “At least that’s what was said on the commercial ...”

Adolph Hitler spent much of his youth playing around or just laying about the Danube (or ‘Hister,’ in Latin) River; and it was there that he came up with many of his ideas, some perhaps conventional, though a very large majority were the base product of pure twisted thought and mind … Such base thought as all human beings being treated with respect and valued as worthy, equal folk. He also conjured up wild notions of non-‘white’ people of Earth being completely equal with ‘white’ people—and even more bizarre, non-whites being in many ways notably superior to white folk in such fields of expertise as academia, mechanics, science (including rocketry), chemistry, astro-physics, engineering, art, sports …
Then he came up with his twisted plan for future ‘socialist states’ in which those inclined to not work would be paid regardless. ‘Full pay—even for not working a single day,’ was the political slogan he had in his comfortably unconventional mind. Why not? Hitler thought. Why Not?!
Just like Hitler along the River Hister, equal men and women folk of equal white and non-white heritage could—and should, if they so desire—lay about all day and think up thoughts that may’ve never even ever been thunk! Hitler mused. Yes, Indeed!!
As Hitler grew into a long-hair-with-pony-tail, tall-though-lanky man, with a very wide, bushy moustache, he mesmerized the throngs of equals, all members of the German populace, with impassioned, incredibly motivating speeches. He gestured with his arms and hands, ranting about ‘social justice for poor, unemployed (for the work that was abundantly available may simply have been unsuitable for their tastes) immigrants flowing readily into the German Motherland ...’ The welfare state was thus soon established and on solid footing in that blessed, humane European nation of the early- and mid-20th century!
Once democratically elected into power, Hitler’s People’s Socialist Party recruited young boys and men and, especially, young girls and women, since Hitler found females cerebrally superior to their male counterparts in such tasks as, for example, top-notch number crunchers for Germany’s Finance Ministry, Department of Revenue and, most important, Ministry of Social Services.
However, after only one five-year term as his nation’s head-honcho, Hitler wanted to see his socialist ideology—one of ‘a just society’—expand across all of Europe.
Although he initially futilely attempted to diplomatically promote his ideology and governance—i.e. the elected representatives must ensure that absolutely nobody goes homeless and/or hungry and/or empty-pocketed—he found that he’d simply have to ask them all again but a bit louder the next time round.
Though a very surprised Hitler was refused yet again, by the bully-capitalist-minded European nations, the leaders of which insisted that everyone has to labour for food and shelter, he’d not be denied his socio-political goals—his dreams of a pure, ultra-socialist Europe.
Thus Hitler began by gathering a small portion of his followers—exactly 1,000 of his German people of all colour and creed—and stormed into each and every European nation. First they stormed their way across the French and Spanish borders (of course being ordered, while doing so, to ‘halt!’) and straight into the two opposed nations’ capital cities.
There, his followers practised mass ‘sit-ins,’ and even passive resistance if need be, on the grounds of the parliament buildings while chanting, “Hell, no, we won’t go!” in the English language (Hitler decided to universally utilize that ‘unique tongue’).
He then organized many groups of 1,000 German followers, each group to cross into every European nation, finalized with some boat rides into an also-objecting Britain. “Hell, no, we won’t go! Hell, no, we won’t go!” And the Brits understood and even somewhat respected Hitler’s expressive, strategic offensive more so than any other ‘invaded’ nation of all of Europe—all of which opposed Hitler’s ultra-socialist ideology.
Nonetheless, in every one of those nations, Hitler’s followers practised their ‘sit-ins’ and chants, over and over and over, again and again; hour after hour, day to day, week after week, month to month, even year after year—about seven of them, in fact.
Time after time, these ‘sit-in’ groups were arrested (while practising passive resistance, of course), charged, tried, convicted, then usually fined before being released. And the whole cycle would re-occur, in every nation’s capital city’s parliament buildings, throughout all of Europe.
It was only but a matter of time before European nation after nation surrendered to Hitler’s Germany, and each had their entire societal and political systems assimilated by those of Hitler’s People’s Socialist Party.
It was all just as Adolph Hitler—determined to win the ‘sit-in’ battles and eventually the entire war for those years across Europe—had imagined and planned as a boy along the River Danube (or Hister) ...

“Is that it? It doesn’t seem at all true,” Donna innocently queried her brother. “Are you sure that the commercial said it’s about what happened in the Second World War?”
“Yeah, it did ... Actually, no, it didn’t quite ... Well, not much of the show—extremely little, in fact—is true.”
“Then why did they say it is, Dean?”
“I don’t know ... Well ... except, it is true that there was an Adolph Hitler who did wage a war to overtake Europe, but he did use every explosive tool at his disposal ... and he did play along the Danube River (or “Hister,” in Latin) as a boy; and he did form, I think it was, the National Socialist German Workers Party, though I believe he was actually against ultra-socialist ideals, like the welfare state that he led in the movie ...”
Dean's very young sister concluded: “I guess it’s not at all what you thought it would be.”

Although it's fairly late in the day to write this explanation as to what especially angered me into posting 'Based on a/the True Story,' it should foremost be noted that I hadn't in mind to belittle the great yet very bitter significance of WWII and Adolf Hitler in order to make my point. But it was a subject with which I could most forcefully make the said point.
After having watched an episode of the TV series Paranormal Witness titled “The Real Haunting In Connecticut,” what had been my favourite ghost movie, The Haunting In Connecticut, actually turned out to be quite the disappointment for me—quite enough, in fact, to become rather jaded about the entire so-often-utilized-and-misleading tag, “Based on the true story.”
As it turned out, the movie contained perhaps 15 percent actually-had-occurred content … There was absolutely nothing in the walls and ceiling, let alone occult-like-cut-marked corpses with eyelids snipped off … No highway built through any section of any graveyard, let alone discovered sandbag-filled coffins. Even household family members’ genders weren’t fully consistent with the real story! …
Call me naïve, but it was simply too much bogus for me to just let it slide. Thus I wrote about the pacifist version of the infamous Adolf true story, which was technically ‘based on a/the true story.’

I think hitler is a good example of love which was restricted to event identity.or the tribal identity of being german.or hitler was a localised being who took the location of his birth to be there identity.
