Re: The Key is Quantum Entanglement

I submit that this kind of model is the only one that rationally explains quantum entanglement. That's not the only rational explanation. The universe could be a simulation, where "matter" forms when needed. In this scenario, entanglement is just a secondary "measurement" effect...

Re: Is It Possible To Think Without Language?

When I think scientific thoughts, like understanding complex natural laws and interactions, or finding alternative theories, I do not think in words at all. I think in active images, which I then translate to words to share them with others.

So yes, you can definitely think without language!

Re: Your brain hallucinates your conscious reality

Well you know VA, I used to be a materialist like you so I can see why you have this belief system where brains exist. Materialists also believe that the universe is just a dumb universe full of bouncing particles that are governed by rational physical forces. However why do most materialists think...

Re: The Multiverse Conundrum

Where did you get the idea that the supporters of a multiverse like the idea of eternal divinity? They seem to abhor divinity, hence their attraction to theories that are devised to exclude divinity. Care to clarify that statement? It's mentioned in the article as a counter proposal. The author is ...

Re: The Multiverse Conundrum

It never ceases to amaze me how materialists are willing to accept the existence of 10 to the 500 dud (lifeless) universes just to avoid any hint of the idea of ours being the product of intelligence. Exactly! They seem to like the idea of an eternal divinity better than the virtual model (which wa...

Re: Do chimpanzees believe in God?

Chimpanzees have intelligence and self awareness, so is it possible that they believe in God? No! The concept of a higher being and invisible concepts are so advanced, that those who possesses it are also advanced enough to create, invent and build. Chimpanzees do not possess those abilities, which...

Re: Why the Focus on Religious-Based Evil Only?

There is only one type of evil: The lack of empathy.

There is however many things this lack can emerge from, the most common are:

- A twisted psyche (being a sociopath).
- A thirst for revenge.
- Religious/political indoctrination.

The latter is the most rare.

Is our universe alone?

The exact properties of our universal forces, the physical constants of the strong nuclear force, the weak nuclear force, electromagnetism, gravity and light, combined with the accelerating expansion of our universe, strongly suggests that there might be many other universes out there, with differen...
