Re: Issue 74 - Ways of Knowing.
Rick, I like the idea of Scholars such as Richard Rorty and others who are trying to bridge the divide between the two divisions. I am also aware of Chritchley and Shroader making a staunch defence for a less adversarial position in their Companion ? to Continental Philosophy. That kind of article t...

Re: Issue 74 - Ways of Knowing.
I intend to buy 'Ways of Knowing' as it is about epistomology plus the Continental versus Analytic scratches where I itch.

Re: Community
I agree some thing like 'The Philosophers Inn' or even have different kinds of venues from Philosophers Cafe to some version of sophisticated Club or Wine Bar with the emphasis firmly on the Socialising and making merry. :D Rick Lewis how wonderful is the idea started by the initiating person and de...

Re: Book reviews
Whether I love a book or authorial point of view or hate it I guess a Review is in order. *imagines laying into some crappy stuff* but I have the highest regard for Academics Reviews if I am able to get hold of them as well as the high points of literary culture in the Broadsheets.

APN's Book Reviews: an attempt!
I am going to post Philosophy Book Reviews as my attempt to do something remotely helpful as a response to the books I have read.
This is merely to do my bit Book Review wise even though I stumble. I learn my stumbling and would wish to emmulate academics and Broadsheet Book Reviewers. So here goes.
