These two camps of philosophy make me think of the two camps in politics, conservative and liberal. Conservatives tend to be in the analytical camp because they think in reductive, noumenal terms, whereas liberals think in more complex, phenomenal terms .

It does beg the question, Is forgetting an existential experience?
