Re: A law and a principle in the Science of Needs
I've asked you before VoT but can you give a concrete example of your Opusology in action It's a work in progress, so I may change my phrasing and wording as I discover deeper and deeper truths about needs. To be sure, I'm not the same person as two years ago. But a concrete example is anything rea...

Re: A law and a principle in the Science of Needs
Wow, just wow... sooo much text xD this is why I sometimes say "that's another story", because the explanations are so long and never-ending! xD

Re: A law and a principle in the Science of Needs
I'm glad you take interest, it's unfortunate that I never seem to have enough time to explain everything, and I usually just end up having to write down stuff which others are unable to understand. My desperation to share my thoughts with others, though, compelles me to reach out even if I'm not alw...

Re: Can you debate philosophy with AI?
If you give an AI a target objective, the AI can learn towards that objective by a process of trial and error. Analysing large quantities of data might give a variable AI, but not a "creative" one. Philosophy is possible for an AI if the AI is given only philosophical methodology to work w...

A law and a principle in the Science of Needs
A couple of powerful ideas came down upon me this morning, and I immediately wrote them down to the following, a law and a principle, adding to my science of needs framework of understanding: The Law of Reduced Domain: in order to guarantee something, you must loose something else. This is not a bel...

Re: What is information?
It appears the basis for much philosophic investigation and debate is the concept of information. For example how much information do we need to decide? I think there is no one overall rule as each case may be different. What do you think? PhilX I actually have a beautiful and enlightening answer t...

Re: Would a robot economy eventually mean no minimum wages and no strikes?
Would a robot economy eventually mean no minimum wages and no strikes? No. More likely we'd have greater quality of work and greater wages, because humans would become easier to satisfy for the business owners. The only threat to improved working conditions, is less education. When people stop educ...

So what? I don't see a problem with this.JSS wrote:One cannot peer at a curve from two different angles (each eye) and be affected the same way.

Re: How close to reality can a scientific model get?
Except that you are not a one dimensional being. Einstein made that same mistake. Observers see from two perspectives at all times if they have but two eyes. Thus actual curves, especially directly in front, are perceived. The brain isn't as dumb as the theories it creates. Not sure you're thinking...

Re: Is There Progress in Philosophy?
However a philosopher who doesn't take the trouble to acquaint himself with the arcane mysteries of physics is nothing but a self-indulgent navel-gazer. If you intended an insult, I should inform you that I literally currently, in this very week, study the mathematics and theories of general relati...

Re: Is There Progress in Philosophy?
OK, philosophy just doesn't matter then. Sarcasm = hostility. Take your sarcasm elsewhere. I should have been more specific. I meant there is no vocabulary where each individual is in complete agreement as to the definitions of words. That's also wrong, but just because you used the word "defi...

Re: Is There Progress in Philosophy?
This statement is false. The philosophy of physics has been my life's work and I can assure you that there is no more reviled a figure in the physics academia than a philosopher of any description. There are exceptions amongst some of the more enlightened theoretical physicists but they are few and...

Re: What is information?
I think your thinking is only due to a bias of your own 'intelligence' intuitively without realizing (or remembering) you had to learn this. Intelligence does not depend upon knowledge. I remember a psychology text that mentioned a case of a girl who was strapped to a toilette literally all the tim...

Re: Is There Progress in Philosophy?
The goal of philosophy is to determine the nature of man and his place in reality. It's also to discover the nature of reality and how its nature affects man and the interests of man. An opinion, nothing to do with facts. There is no progress, I believe, because there's no language of philosophy. F...
