Re: The NON-TRUTHS of Our Current Covid-19 Policy
I would really like to know where you found it, so I'll ask a third time. Where did you find it? Whose epidemiological expertise is embedded in it? I pulled these images off the internet. ...that herd immunity is achieved by saturating a population with immune people such that when we reach a satur...

Re: The NON-TRUTHS of Our Current Covid-19 Policy
Mick, do you agree with the above distinction in the protective effects of herd immunity (as opposed to social distancing)? In as far as I can make out the distinction you have outlined, no. Do you not agree with science? ...that herd immunity is achieved by saturating a population with immune peop...

Re: The NON-TRUTHS of Our Current Covid-19 Policy
***************** The purpose of the three graphics above is to help clarify how herd immunity works, as there seems to be a general misunderstanding and confusion between the protective effects of herd immunity with that of social distancing. The main point I wanted to clarify is: Herd immunity wor...

Re: The NON-TRUTHS of Our Current Covid-19 Policy
Yes, RG1, that Oxford Vaccine Group article you have linked to explains the mechanics of herd immunity. It doesn't support your false "healthy people remove virus from the environment" version. Yes, you are correct, it doesn't (yet) support my conclusion that "healthy people remove t...

Re: The NON-TRUTHS of Our Current Covid-19 Policy
******************** We can't get the "protective effects" of herd herd immunity if we keep "masking" and "social distancing" our recently vaccinated and those previously infected . We need to let these immune people IMMEDIATELY start full time socializing (re-join the ...

Re: The NON-TRUTHS of Our Current Covid-19 Policy
The virus transmission is not person-to-person, but is from person-to-environment, and environment-to-person. A very important distinction. People get infected by being in contaminated environments (whether or not other people are presently in that same environment). How does the environment become...

Re: The NON-TRUTHS of Our Current Covid-19 Policy
Mickthinks, you apparently do not understand the mechanics of herd immunity. If immune people did not "remove" more of the virus from the environment, then they "contribute" back into the environment, then herd immunity would be an impossibility. That isn't the mechanics of herd...

Re: The NON-TRUTHS of Our Current Covid-19 Policy
NON-TRUTH #1 - People get infected by other people. This is technically not true. This is not true only in the sense that it is a virus that infects. That virus, or rather, viral load can be delivered in various ways, all of which involve one or more infected people shedding it where it can be pick...

Continued social distancing (of healthy people) is what will kill us all. Enforcing that with shock collars will only quicken our demise.Walker wrote:Shock collars for people would enforce the social distancing…

Re: Will Continued Social Distancing Ultimately Destroy All Human Life on this Planet?
My instinct has always been that lockdowns are only delaying the inevitable. You can't lock populations up forever, hiding from a virus. It's doomed to fail. Yes, we can't win a battle by playing defense. At some point we gotta go on offense. Hiding (aka "social distancing") does not make...

Re: Will Continued Social Distancing Ultimately Destroy All Human Life on this Planet?
Ultimately, it is our own immune system that decides whether our human body lives or dies when under attack by bacteria or virus. Yes, our immune system decides, but we don't have to intentionally create and feed this monster that will destroy all of us (including us with strong immune systems). Ou...

Re: Universe can't be infinite.
Since it is impossible for the universe (space/time/matter) to be created, then if the universe exists, it has "always existed". -- i.e. is infinite.
