Re: I KNOW 'God' exists ask me about it i experienced the TESTamenT
And one that was informed from the aether that Jesus is the Christ. So ask me any quest.ion - you and i are all on a 'quest' and we are little more than ions. I will be honest and frank in my knowledge of God\'God'. What does it mean to be the Christ? What is the significance of being the Christ? W...

Re: Subconscious mind?
No, I am arguing that formation of a thought is a conscious phenomena and it obviously takes time. So anyone can sometimes have a sense of thought before the thought becomes clear. The formation of thought itself is just the brain reacting to stimuli. The time taken for the stimuli to reach the bra...

Re: Why things evolve?
Illuminating. Generally, it is believed that any physical laws which govern inanimate matter also govern living matter. Volcanoes, storms, people - the same set of physical laws and particles are at work. Maybe you have heard of this, maybe you haven't. "Laws" follow phenomena, they do no...

Re: Why things evolve?
Volcanoes and storms turned out to be "zombies" - why not (other) people? I say other people because I have undeniable subjective knowledge of my own experiences. The other way to ask the question would be "why am I equating people with volcanoes and storms?" Just because you se...

Re: Subconscious mind?
I think the phenomena is like this: The formation of thoughts take time in your mind so you can have only a sense of thought before the thought becomes clear to you. I have done lots of practice on this so I am sure you can do it too. Well, that might be your belief but it is not supported with any...

Re: Subconscious mind?
We are not talking about decisions made by the subconscious mind. We are talking about thoughts of the conscious mind But they are not mutually exclusive. Since decisions taken by the conscious mind actually originate in the subconscious No they are not. But we are still not talking about decisions...

Re: Why things evolve?
Oh, please. The turing test limits conversations. And I was not talking about other questions. I simply pointed out that your question today, right now, is invalid. If and when such a robot is programmed which can have an actual human conversation without limitations, we can re-open your question. ...

Re: Subconscious mind?
What about the time difference between a thought existing in your mind and you being aware of this You have no way of knowing that it existed in your mind before you were aware of it The unconscious mind can make a decision before the conscious mind is aware of it http://exploringthemind.com/the-mi...

So a robot which is programmed to have a conversation with you in the general way that a human would - to you there is no doubt that such a machine is automatically conscious in the sense of having experiences? Your question is invalid bec...
