Re: A Challenge to Richard Dawkins and the Atheists
If there is a God then atheists have morality. If there isn't a God then we have no morality. So why worry :) Just so I'm clear, are you saying that you support the divine command view of morality? I.e, what God does is good rather than God does what is good? I would say God is good. I know when we...

Think secret army researc...

Re: Bram Stoker's 'Dracula'
Jonathan Harker is the lawyer and yet poor Dracula gets the reputation for being a blood sucker. There's no justice in the world.

Re: evolution... have people got something very wrong ?

Re: Introduction
As the search above shows, you can't do a straight degree in economics but you can do Politics, Philosophy and Economics (which is what I'm doing) or Economics and Mathematical Sciences. There are some additional options that allow you to do a Social Science degree with economics.

Hi Tom, I've just completed A211 Philosophy and the human condition and just waiting on my exam result now. I've previously been studying economics and I now have two politics courses to complete my degree. I really enjoy philosophy but I don't have any plans to take it any further than I have acade...

Re: Philosophy videos
The comedian Mark Steel covered a few philosophers in his TV (and radio) programs, The Mark Steel Lectures , most of which are available on YouTube. However, a number of his TV and radio programs are legitimately available for download on his own website at http://www.marksteelinfo.com/audiovideo/de...

I've just come to the end of a first degree in philosophy and music after a very long time of part-time study with the Open University. I started life as a scientist (chemistry) and am now a painter. I hope to embark on some research into the ontological status of representation in music and the pl...
