Yugoslavian Mestrovic, another student of Rodin. His tragic image of Job. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/c/c6/JobIM.jpg/220px-JobIM.jpg "Tragic" is a bit strong, It's not all that bad for a student. Obviously even Rodin was a student at some point. Mestrovic was in h...

Re: Why is Rodin considered to be an artist?
Also, Frank ... Here’s the thing that grabbed my attention about a picture of a clay sculpture, I think it was clay, that I once saw, which can also be seen in Rodin’s work. The face was asymmetrical and not only realistic, but therefore of a realistic human, and showed the tension of the movement ...

Apparently you eat cake for breakfast lunch and dinner. It's really only calorie restriction. Most people will lose weight on 1200 calories per day. Sadly that's not much cake. I made a great Xmas cake this year. Mary Berry recipe, soaked in brandy, marzipan, icing the works. Put on 6lbs!! I don't ...

Re: How God could fail to convey His message?
It doesn't matter what site I post you will only 'pooh pooh' it. So it worked for you. Good for you. There are plenty of others who claim the opposite. It would be nice once in a while to get the feeling that people on this forum read past the first line of any posts. But the truth is simple enough...

Behave yourself, Hobbes :P I understand cynicism towards mysterianism, but logically we should remain open to many possibilities in reality that have not yet been considered - Rummy's "unknown unknowns" - not least because our sense of moving through time is not necessarily in touch with ...

We will have to agree to disagree on that. I can offer you one olive branch on this. Omega-3 fatty acid is the ONLY fatty acid that the human body cannot synthesise, by itself. But the amount you need is so small that it is almost impossible to avoid fat enough to get a deficiency in it. Having a f...

It woud take a while to write a nice post, picking for different writers and for my own, translating, and so on. So, simplifcation: yes, evil exist, evidently. Andit's not necesarily related to what you understand by "hate". Since you seemed to have changed your mind. I now wonder what yo...

Re: New normative theory (also a PhD thesis)
I think your entire aim is hopeless. There are very good and quite obvious reasons for this. Moral systems are formed by cultures. Where we might be convinced to ignore the contingencies of our personalities, each of us is situated in highly complex unbounded cultural influences, and cultures are in...
