Re: Why search for moral objectivity?

Why search for moral objectivity? Because moral objectivity is the best behavior in any situation. It's like knowing the best move in a game. Is that what I want? Or do I secretly just want for my own set of preferences to be the ones that everyone has to live by? I've certainly never witnessed any...

Re: Sex and the Religious-Left

The solution to this gordic knot is supposedly to do wtf you want but with temperance and judge others by that same standard. Since I’m Scandinavian I don’t know what the religious left is but I guess that goes for them too. Did Alexander the Great really "untie" the Gordian Knot? I sugge...

Re: God is...

I am still just referring to the 'OK' word that you said and wrote here before. My reply includes that response of mine also. you seem to have completely lost or misunderstood here. That's odd. I thought I said exactly why I said what I did. Can you think of another reason I said what I said? I sup...

Re: Godel's Argument For God is Not Realistic

To exists as real, your God has to be physical at least in the physics sense which is not restricted to directly observable things but also the indirectly observable, e.g. gravity and other forces and powers. If the multiverse exists, it is real. However, how are you going to observe that from with...

How do we make peace?

The world is in a difficult place right now. What can each of us do to keep it from teetering off its axis?

Thoughts? Suggestions?

We don't know that. You don't know that. At this point keeping the peace is the order of the day for all of us. It's all we can reasonably do.

Re: War

War is not going to solve anything. It's just going to make matters worse for EVERYONE. Someone needs to back down in this game of one upmanship. This is insane. I suggest Biden do the 'unthinkable' and make concessions to Russa. just like biden's concessions to Iran?!? history NEVER repeats -Imp B...

Re: Christian Civilization -- The Central Issue

So should we pretend that his personal vision for society actually matters to anybody? I don't know. I was just joking. Joking is good, Gary. We only have to look at Alexis and Wazzo to see what can happen when matters are taken too seriously. Unfortunately, I do get that impression as well. But wh...

Faith: Difficult but Necessary?

Do the winners write history or does history favor those who deserve to win? I suggest peace is a viable and necessary route to save humanity from ourselves.

At this point I'm for anyone who can bring peace. If Trump can have the balls to back down and negotiate with Russia in this game of one upmanship, then I'll take Trump. Otherwise, the whole world seems to be headed for a cliff. I hope there's a God who will save humanity from ourselves.
