Those who learn only have recollection. I say desire could hardly have tasted the sweetness of learning. Those who learn have bits of paper to prove it which open doors and double their salaries too. I take on board your point but think perhaps you skimmed over the value of knowledge, both inherent...

Barbara, you are a legend. Probably certifiable but certainly a legend!!! I'm still not convinced you are not a piece of computer software though. By this I do not seek to cast any aspersions on your talent or capacity as a competent and thoughtful writer, you've earned your wings. It's your consist...

Sadly, I need to keep some distance behind a daft name (after my favourite film btw) and that is how it is. I l...

Re: Suggestions Box
There is one thought, however. I am considering a subscription to the Mind philosophy journal. Get both. I've subscribed to both and been very glad I did. MIND is more dry...not specificially academic but lacking the vitality of PN. That said it's a damn good read and a lovely treat to find coming ...

I've come full circle and am rereading Walden - a book which I was inspired to read following discussions here, with Non Sum, over 2 years ago. Hello Lusia, I wonder if you know anything about parapraxis - the classical Freudian slip of the tongue. Proustian associations are a bridge from the 'outside' in and a parapraxis is an act of speech where the 'inside' pokes it's head out. I heard a corker recently when I was viewing some houses wit...
