Re: Does God want us to judge him?

It is also about you, if you are a Christian, and follow a genocidal son murdering p**** of a God, --- because you ignored scriptures and did not test Yahweh to see if he was godlike or satanlike. Which one do you think would fear judgement? God or Satan? Regards DL I couldn't answer that as, while...

Re: Does God want us to judge him?

Like my deceased father whom I judged, I also used to judge God. Now I realise they are who they are, and I accept their flaws. I'm the only one who hurts when I hold grudges and recriminations. It's not about them. It's about me. It is also about you, if you are a Christian, and follow a genocidal...

Re: Anhedonia

Who was it who was discussing his anhedonia? Mozart Link or something? Because I'm hitting the same wall, and it's really sucking. I care enough to care that I have it, and don't want to go down the rabbit hole, but that's pretty much all I care about anymore. Don't know how old you are or how long...

Re: Mind or minds

Yeah, I'm not into hive mind, nor do I buy into it. I lose nothing of my memories or experiences when others croak. And thankfully, I dont have to experience any of the world's woes once I'm done.

Yeah, I only had one. The rest are just anniversaries. But am I superstitious about them? Well, I always wonder whether I'll make the next one.

"Do the rights that are promoted have priority over the ethics expressed by religion?" I interpret thusly: do individual secular 'rights' trump collective religious 'ethics'? Yeah. If Stan goes religious while Lou stays agnostic, Lou ain't obligated to diddly exceptin' he leave Stan be (a...

Re: What attracted you to philosophy?

Dear Dalek, I think we can get bumped on the nose by the MOD, and rightfully so, if we make private conversations on the boards. So let's not do that. If you trust me enough (I do) send me your private email by "Private Message" and we can chat by email. I can't touch you in PM (Private M...

Re: Vicious Quote of the Day (post your own)

That’s a Dalek characteristic. Question: Why would anyone choose to be a Dalek when they could be a Time Lord? Answer: Trick question. Choice doesn’t cause existence of either, although duality permits the concept. Being a Dalek is so much simpler than feeling responsible for a universe. Plus Dalek...

Re: What attracted you to philosophy?

Dear Gary and Commonsense: I also accept your apology. Though your apology was not directed to me, I still accept it, since you attributed first my words to someone else, and then apologized and corrected the source. Very nice. Thank you. Hey, you got snow in the Niagara area, -1-? It's clear...
