Re: Exposing Liberal Hypocrisy and Conservative Close-Mindedness
Apparently Van jones flirted with some sort of actual communism in the 90s. But more recently he has worked for that dastardly Obama chap, which tends to be enough reason for Walker to hate on anyone forever and discount everything they ever say. What he says in that video is fine enough as a set o...

Re: Exposing Liberal Hypocrisy and Conservative Close-Mindedness
Well, if a conservative commentator, cited by a blog owned by the Tampa Bay Times says so, I have no reason to doubt it. What evidence do you have that reason is involved? Well, Wanker is clearly a fucking idiot, but I don't know that he's a racist. Whaddya say, Wanker? The scary thing is conservat...

Re: Exposing Liberal Hypocrisy and Conservative Close-Mindedness
You're full of theories. Use your own source. Your own link. Obtuseness has blinded you. Walker, can you give me one concrete example of communism, using your own words? How about if you define it, any way you like including examples, then tell me why would a Leftist communist want to help c...

Re: Democracy is a logical fallacy
Democracy = Majority is always right. Democracy = Majority is always right... Until they change their minds and a new definition of "right" becomes the trend. That's the beauty of democracy...it's constantly changing. It makes sure people are not chained to a torturous ideology forever. P...

Re: Is there an opioid crisis in the US?
If you think any society can exist today without a government you are being naive. I mean...I..I just said that the government shouldn't educate us on drugs. I wasn't advocating for pure anarchy, but okay... I couldn't and wouldnt want to live in your trump world forever. And thank god, because of ...

Re: What is love?
That's a hard one. I used to think love was a positive feeling toward another and the way they make you feel about yourself. But now that ive been married 30ish years, I realize that it's mostly about coexisting in peace.
It's like the freedom of being alone without the loneliness.

Re: Is there an opioid crisis in the US?
If you think any society can exist today without a government you are being naive. I think a government 'for the people by the people' is the best one can hope for. At least nothing stays the same and everyone gets a chance to govern for a time. I couldn't and wouldnt want to live in your trump worl...

Re: Is there an opioid crisis in the US?
I think that nothing should be done about it. It is an individual's decision to take an addictive drug. We can educate the public, but I also don't necessarily want that to be through the government. I agree. Let freedom ring. However, I disagree that a government 'by the people and for the people'...

Re: Is it politically correct to say ______?
Someone is always going to be offended by another's opinion. Just speak your mind within reason, if you truly believe in what you are saying, and let others deal with the imagined collateral. For my part, I find it easier to listen and nod these days. If someone says the sky is red, it doesn't effe...

Re: Gun Control Advocates are Immoral
That's pretty adorable, but I'm going to go ahead and say that what makes an argument valid is 'having a sound basis in logic or fact. What are the facts and logic of abortion, immigration, racism, sexism, freedom etc.? There are few facts when it comes to people's feelings about such things but it...

Re: Gun Control Advocates are Immoral
The only rational argument for gun ownership is freedom. We all can cite reasons why should or should not be able to own guns, but those usually come from irrational fear, superior motives, i.e. ones own reasons for wanting a gun. What about an argument that you're giving the black market more powe...

Re: Gun Control Advocates are Immoral
You are either being dishonest here or you have a terrible misconception. I dont think I've ever heard a 'leftist' making this claim. Are you sure you weren't being brainwashed by some propaganda?Science Fan wrote: ↑Wed Apr 04, 2018 5:10 pm
Gun control advocates seek to take away guns from lawful gun owners who have violated no laws.
