Re: You must not kill any living being for the sake of your

I used to have a dog that would kill a groundhog and then bring it home and leave it on the yard. I never felt right about taking it away from her even though she didn't eat it. But if we just took it somewhere and threw it away she would just find it and bring it back.

I was unfortunate in being taught subjects that were long seperated from the professions and h...

Re: Who has a philosophy degree?

When the question becomes the quest, the quest is the answer, and to continue is all that is required.

"Does God exist?" is a question without an answer that can be provided by emperical evidence, but the contemplation of that question can be all that is required.

Re: Who has a philosophy degree?

I don't think Chaz is "young", though I forgot where he mentioned his age. A random guess is late thirties or somewhere between forties or early fifties. That's not young, unless you yourself is relatively much older. Well, Prill and I are both somewhat beyond that in age, we are both granfathers, ...

Re: Music

But that is the difference between a sonata and a symphany, one is a solo and the other features the full orchestra, there is a place for both. or a solo instrument.

Once I was working on the roof of my old house and suddenly had the strangest feeling, I imideately moved back toward the middle of the roof and realized that I had been inches away from the edge, and I was 3 floors up which would have been a nasty fall. I went back to work but with a safety line ar...

Re: Texting and Grammar

I have also heard that English is one of the most difficult languages to learn but growing up with it makes it easier. At a certain age children can very easily learn different languages. My grandaughret turned 2 and refused to talk, she understood the words and could make the sounds, but was just b...

Re: Who has a philosophy degree?

Most of what people believe they know, is done so without direct evidence. Scientists make discoveries and report those findings, and since I do not have the time or resources to verify all knowledge that has come down through history, I accept most and only occasionally verify something, just for f...
