One interesting point I remember hearing was that while the vast majority of people think that the ...

The Worst Drugs

An unfortunate down-side being that some people (especially technophobes) are automatically turned off from sites that require more than basic registration (I know I have been in the past). Perhaps the previous hosts have commissioned this spam in order to try and bully you into thinking you'd be be...

I recommend Dr.Oliver Sacks, especially 'The Man Who Mistook His Wife For a Hat'
It's a collection of neurological case studies cherry-picked from his career, with thoughts about each, and a very easy read.

I think it's best to split his position on women from his other ideas. I think that the notions concerning women are more clearly the product of his neuroses, than the product of his thought.

For anyone interested in Buddhism I can recommend the Tara Buddhist Centre in Derby. I spent a weekend there (cost me about £70), they are very nice and welcoming, and no you don't have to be a buddhist. They offer introductory courses on meditation and the philosophy of buddhism that last a weekend...

I was going to make a comment on the experience machine, but perhaps it would be better to have a thread on it.
Since you two brought it up, perhaps one of you would like to start the thread?
If you don't want to, then I will.

I haven't read the whole thing...
I think you have to take Nietzsche with a pinch of salt.
I'm sure when you get to his snappy little comments about women you won't be impressed :P
