"...which seems to elude you..." Nope. I said, at least once in this thread, I see the value of 'pretending' that equality is real. I also said, at least once in this thread, pragmatically pretending equality is real is not synonymous with 'equality is real'. # "your belief system makes you meat, fo...

"...only a matter of perspective, in this case, yours!" Of course...never claimed otherwise. We, you and me, differ in this way... You believe a human has value (and is on par with all other humans) simply because it, the human, exists. I believe value is subjective, circumstantial...I believe a hum...

"the right system" for many is not neccessarily right for 'o

"How did you get the impression otherwise?" Probably just my prejudices showing. I have significant problems with being told what is 'right' or 'wrong' when I can assess those things for myself. Embedded in the notion of a "Science of Ethics" is an (evolving) 'right' that applies, or should apply, t...

"When you have to compare it to Nazi Germany there is something very wrong about it..." I make such a comparison to illustrate the hyperbolic hysteria I'm seein'. You got some folks (as consumers of a certain flavor of 'news') screamin' 'the sodomites are gonna make me do stuff I don't wanna do!' Yo...

Quite apart from the cock-eyed laws that exist on federal, state, regional, and municipal levels, consider the following: -A gay, atheist print shop owner refuses to print up 1000 pamphlets ordered by a local Baptist church...the proposed text of the pamphlets starkly proclaims homosex a sin and dec...

"Henry, im sure you do understand, not everyone is good at asking help." Yeah, I get that...I'm one of those people...I dislike being indebted...I dislike asking for help...so: I do what I can to 'not' need help. I suggest others who don't want to (or can't) ask for help do the same (self-rely). # "...

"i mind the business of others too"

You and a whole whack of other busybodies.

'Minding other folks' business' is a big part of what's wrong in the world.

#

"ask others, if they need help, and help them"

Mebbe you ought to wait till they ask for help.
